Summary: a gem from Cuba
Review: This is probably my favorite film, I've seen it 7 times or more. That it holds up to repeated viewing is a credit to the writer and director, as well as to the mesmerizing performance of Jorge Perrugoria.
Universal themes abound -- the need for acceptance, development of ethical conduct, finding fulfillment in bonds forged between unlikely opposites, etc. This film functions both as food and entertainment.
I'll echo disappointment with Miramax' arrogance in tampering with this film, and agree the opening scene's graininess is disturbing. Even the end credits have glitches, as if the people doing the transfer couldn't be bothered. Re-do the DVD transfer, restore the lost scenes, and I'll gladly spend my money again for a better copy.

Review: This movie is great! I was in high scholl when I first saw it and it was very interesting. Now, after seen it 10 years later I understood why. It is very funny, dramatic and the script and theme is very current. The performances were excellent and the scenes filmed in Cuba were fantastic. I recommend this movie very much.

Review: This movie reveals the deep conflicts and emotions felt by humans that are polarized by ideology. It is an intelligent and cultural movie that can be appreciated by the worldly and open minded invidual. I bought the VHS tape to share with all my friends and family. You must also see: Guantanamera-same artists.

Diego es un hombre muy fuerte, qui tienes mucho energia, amor por todos, tambien gustas los hombres. Nancy, German, Diego, y David son la familia moderna.
