Rating: Summary: Yoga Zone Review: I bought this dvd to relieve stress and tone. It's too easy for me but I like Yoga Zone so I am going to buy more of an advanced one from them. If you've ever done pilates or yoga in the gym or before, get an advanced one.
Rating: Summary: GREAT FOR FIRST TIMERS Review: I bought this video after doing a little research and reading the reviews here. I had never done yoga before and had no idea what to expect. The setting is beautiful the instructors are very thorough with their explantions. The pace is also very good for first timers. I woud recommend that you practice your breathing techniques which they don't go into detail about in the video. I found info on the internet. You will have to know how to breath correctly in order to maximize your yoga benefits....overall this was a very good buy!
Rating: Summary: okay, but where is the transition? Review: I found this tape to be fairly easy, great for beginners, not for intermidate yoga students. I was disappointed that there was too much talking and not enough YOGA. This tape has two main sessions, one for upper body about 20 min. (which was a good workout) and the second for lower body about 20 min.(it was okay). If you are looking for a smooth transition from pose to pose this is not the tape for you. There no warm up and forget about your breathing technique.
Rating: Summary: Want a "yoga butt"?---This tape's for you! Review: I had been doing yoga along with the Yoga Zone t.v. show for about 10 months, when the program was unceremoniously yanked from the Health Network following a change of ownership for that channel. I was in pretty good shape prior to doing yoga, but--Hoochie Mama!--what a difference afterward! Re-shaping your body is the operative word. By this time, I needed my yoga "fix" every day, so I bought some of the Yoga Zone tapes; "Yoga Sculpting" being one of them. What a great work-out! I agree, it is not for the faint of heart, and an absolute beginner might benefit more from the other tapes in the beginner's packaged set before tackling this one. But when you feel you have become familiar with the basic poses--go for it! Your bottom will thank you!
Rating: Summary: boring and not a good work out Review: I have been doing yoga for over a year now and this was my first yoga video. It is good for beginners but challenging enough for intermediate level. They have two instructors, one who performs beginning level and one who does more advanced. The more I do this video, the better it gets...I can really focus on the area that we are working on now. It has remained my favorite video.
Rating: Summary: My Favorite Yoga Video Review: I have been doing yoga for over a year now and this was my first yoga video. It is good for beginners but challenging enough for intermediate level. Rating: Summary: You Get Out What You Put In Review: I have been doing yoga on and off for over five years, both with videos and personal instructors. The poses in this video were not particularly challenging to me, but if you really hold the poses and focus on contracting the muscles you're working, you will feel it in the end. I especially liked the arm workout. In the past, I've never felt that much in my arms from yoga, but the day after this workout I did. I think seeing the results from this video depends on how focused you are during the workout. If you're new to yoga, I would give yourself a few times through to just get comfortable with the poses.
Rating: Summary: Great video for those who want to start yoga! Review: I have owned this video for several months, but just got my routine down with my 19 month & 7 month old babies, so that I could fit it into my schedule. I do one 20 minute session a day first thing in the morning. I am not in the greatest shape after having two babies, but I am finding that this is my exercising niche. I like the instructor. She describes how you should be doing positions clearly and informatively. I have to admit that it is quite a challenge at first, but if you do it consistently, you start to loosen up and it does get easier. I look forward to purchasing other Yoga Zone dvd's.
Rating: Summary: NOT for beginners Review: I purchased this DVD thinking it would be a good tape for my first venture into Yoga. NOT SO! I could not even begin to follow along with what they were doing. My wife, who has been doing Yoga for several years, described it as intermediate to somewhat advanced at best. There was no introduction to breathing, pacing, placement of hands, arms, legs, etc. which I assume to be an intregal part of Yoga. I would recommend this tape ONLY to more advanced Yoga practicioners.
Rating: Summary: Annoying Review: I really hated this DVD. The production quality is poor, the music is too fast, the instructor races through the poses. The poses are not really suitable for beginners. The instructor's voice was annoying, too.
