Summary: Great video
Review: I have tried several weight training videos, and this is the best one I've used. I've seen great results in 6 weeks. The tracks are not at all difficult to follow -- I wouldn't recommend for a true beginner, though. The super-setting technique gives you a real burn and I like the flexibility with using different sized weights. Highly recommended.

Summary: Everything I wanted; nothing I didn't.
Review: Kathy Smith's Dual Track system is very adaptable! I started out with Track One using 12-oz. soup cans for weights. When I got stronger I bought dumb-bells and ankle weights and graduated to Track Two. After a few weeks I felt stronger. After a few months my husband complimented my "buff" figure and my clothes fit better.

This tape has no warm-up. I start with a cardio workout including stretching exercises, so another warm-up and stretch would be a waste of time for me. However, the tape does include post-exercise stretching. Theri are no "Dancey" maneuvers to follow. What a relief! This tape is suitable for coordination-challenged people like me.

Summary: Kathy Smith Lift Weights to lose weight
Review: I am not a fan of lifting weights, but I really enjoy thisworkout. In 20 minutes you have worked your whole upper body, in 20more your whole lower body. This is not boring at all, and before you know it use have finished the workout. It's perfect for anyone like me who hates to do weight workouts. Combine with Cardio Fat burner for an even more satisfying workout.

Summary: feeling a difference already!
Review: This is my first Kathy Smith video and I liked it. Its a little confusing at first with the two track system but its a very effective workout. If you're not feeling the burn after both sessions you need an advanced tape. What I also like is the upper body and lower body segments separated. So when I don't have time to do both I can still get a good workout. I like Kathy Smith's enthuasium, she makes it fun. I also like that this workout seems to challenge her too. So you know its a good workout because she exercises everyday! Buy this tape and see results fast.

Summary: Get Over It!
Review: Once you get over KS whooping and hollering from one perch to the next, and you get over her not giving appropriate count downs to the reps, and you get over not having a warm up - THEN you can really enjoy a basic weight training tape that you can divide in two sections - an upperbody that I do after one of her aerobix tapes, and the lower body is very good. You have to do pushups, and really only need a five and three pound weight set (when you hold the two together - you get 8 lbs. for a heavier rep set if you want) and if you have a step bench you can use it for a weight bench. A good tape and you will feel you muscles working.

Summary: Entertaining
Review: I am planning to purchase this video but I had to read the reviews before I do. I am giving the customer reviews 5 stars. Clearly this video is both well loved and equally hated. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. I found the negative reviews hilarious! Thanks for the laughs, and now to place my order.

Summary: Great for the experienced and on-the-go individual
Review: I have tried other series such as the Firm and others, but like Kathy's 20 minute approach.

This tape is definately for the intermediate person who knows the importance of warming up and stretching before and after. If you are familiar with other workouts and can warm up and stretch on your own, this is a great addition to your collection. It offers a quick workout and a good sweat when you have no time.

I would not recommend anyone to use this as their ONLY workout tape, but great for working mom's like myself who need a quick routine to fit into your busy schedule.

Summary: quick and pretty efficient
Review: The best thing about this video is that it seperates upper and lower body toning. This makes it easy to rotate segments after a cardio workout for greater efficientcy, instead of spending a long workout only toning. One problem is that the two different tracks are a little difficult to follow. Another thing is that though this video can help tone your legs, it does can't sufficiently strengthen your legs; you'll need to use weight machines at the gym for that. Besides toning, this video helps you gain balance and there is an excellent bonus ab and lower back segment at the end. Highly recommended.

Summary: Good variety if you've tired of Strong Women Stay Young/Slim
Review: After working with the exercises in the Strong Women Stay Young/Slim books (highly recommended), I turned to this video for variety. It's a good combination of exercises, done with reasonable pace and clear direction. It does get a little confusing if you are trying to follow "Track 2" (heavier weights and fewer reps), but overall packs a lot of exercise into a short workout. You really can accomplish a lot in 20 minutes.

Summary: It's a great work put for both anyone and everyone!
Review: I love the video! You will definitely see results. It works well for anyone because if you are a beginner you can use no weights or light weights, advanced people can use heavier weights. It would be perfect for those couples who want to work out together. The video does show men working hard and sweating! This is indeed a great combination of cardio work and weight training. I definitely suggest adding it to your exercise video collection!
