Summary: I do not recommend it, especially not for beginners
Review: Since other have adequetly described what the DVD entails I will just share my thoughts. I do not recommend it.

The warm up is OK. It's not great and it's not horrible, but I do think it is too long.

The cardio section is absolutely NUTS! I did not even get past about the first minute of it because she adds way too many dance moves way too fast. I could not even keep up with the second and third dance moves she added. Obviously I am not a seasoned dancer and I do not recommend this to anyone who is not a dancer. I'm sure it's a good workout if you can get through it, but since I couldn't even keep up it was worthless to me.

The centering section is a pretty good ab workout.

My problem with this DVD as a whole is that I had never done Pilates before I tried this and I this DVD does not explain anything about Pilates or what is important in Pilates before it begins. It think it is important to know why Pilates works and what you are supposed to focus on during Pilates in order to be really effective.

I do however, highly recommend Pilates for Dummies over this DVD. And it's not just for Dummies OR beginners. It's a great workout and it shows exactly how each exercise should be done. There is a beginning level and intermediate. Unless you have been doing Pilates for many, many years then I think anyone could benefit from Pilates for Dummies.

Summary: disappointing
Review: The warm-up is short and really not adequate if you plan to do the centering mat exercises (which I found amusing toward the end!). The verbal cues are terrible during the crosstraining dance section. The 3-5lb. weight workout is good if you're a beginner. The centering mat workout starts off good, but quickly gets very difficult--it would take me many years to be able to do most of those exercises!

Summary: Great Intense Workout
Review: This is a great DVD for those who are looking for a combination of cardiovascular, strength-training, and flexibility. There are three segments, each working a different area. It's vigorous, and hard to keep up with the first time through. But, as your strength and flexibility improve, you'll find it easier with time. I've tried several of the videos featuring Jennifer Kreis, and they are a great step up from the easier videos if you're wanting more of a challenge. I would highly recommend this video. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I had some difficultly keeping up with everything, and the drummers in the background are kinda cheesy!

Summary: Good for beginners, otherwise waste of time
Review: This was the last tape I bought from the method series.I had 3 other pilates tapes with Jennifer Kries and one called firming and flexing, none of those tapes had ever done much for me.

The warm up is pretty light,if you consider flexing your feet a warm up then you would like it. The warm up is very similar to the firming and flexing tape I already own.

The cross training part of the tape was the only part I enjoyed, you will need a large living room as the moves require you to take up lots of space. The "aerobic" segments remind me of dance class when I was little. And if you have the precision sculpting workout then your already doing the weight training segments that are in this one.

The mat workout was also a dissapointment since I own three other pilates tapes from this series and it was just a repeat of the moves from those tapes.

If you dont own any other method workouts then this might be a fun tape for you or if you have not been working out for a while or are a beginner. But if you own any other workouts then this will just be a dissapointment.

Summary: This is not for everyone
Review: This workout is not for beginner or someon without flexibility.

The dance rytham is too fast, the instructor does not go through step by step, she adds movement and works fast.

The warm up segment is good, and weigh segment is good, too.
