Summary: It is not Advanced, but more Basic
Review: I have been using the advanced versions of the Taebo Live and Get Ripped and it burns the calories for sure. What I do like about this DVD Tae-bo Cardio is that the counts are more accurate, the timing more on point and the moves are instructed better. All this within 45 minutes. The cardio is 25-30 minutes and the cool down is the rest of the DVD. I thought with this more on the basic level that it would not pump me up, but wrong, it does for sure. The Blanks also have switched the DVD/technical aspect to GoodTimes which does much of The Firm and Windsor Pilates DVD's, the whole presentation is more professional and organized. You will see his daughter, Shelley, but a smaller room size and less people exercising (about 10-12 in total). This makes the organization of the whole DVD better. But as in all Billy's DVD's folks are sweating up a storm for sure. I thank Billy Blanks for these DVD's it has helped me loose weight, gain strength and tone all the areas that need it (abs, waist, hips, etc), if you do these exercises at least 4 times a week you will see a major difference in 30 days, guaranteed. Billy, I am waiting for another new advanced DVD!!!

Summary: Pretty good, but could be better - 3 and 1/2 stars
Review: I have very much enjoyed the Basic workout, and have some quibbles about the Flex workout, and now I'm trying the Cardio one. I think it's a good workout, in fact since I couldn't get all the way through it I look forward to improving. But I feel that the warm-up went too quickly, so that one didn't get a proper warm-up with good form. One of things that I do really like about Billy Blanks' workouts is the way that he often reminds you about form, about holding your abs tight and stuff like that. If you don't use good form in any workout, you're not going to get the benefits, and you could even hurt yourself. So his reminders are good. I like the overall upbeat attitude of his workouts also, and the teams he uses.

I think the Cardio workout is mostly good, but in some places he goes into the set without enough intro, or doesn't repeat it enough times for you to get it right before he goes on to the next one. All in all though I think it's a good step beyond Basic and I would recommend it, definitely.

Summary: Great Workout For Beginners and Low Intermediates
Review: I love this workout for low-intensity days. This is not an advanced workout. This workout is geared to those who are new to Tae Bo or to those who want to get back into exercising. The moves are more controlled and counting is slower than the previous Tae Bo advanced workouts. However, it is easy to add intensity to this workout by exaggerating your moves and upping the tempo!

Review: I own several Tae Bo DVDs, but I'd have to say this is my favorite for one reason - not once did I have to come to a dead stop and say "oh come ON" because it was just too much and I was practically hyperventilating (and I consider myself in pretty good shape). It keeps you moving and sweating and definitely gets your heart going without being ridiculous. This would be the perfect one to start with if you own none of the others. Or if you find yourself flirting with a near heart attack in the others. I can see where it would not be as challenging for those who are used to the advanced workouts though.

Summary: You WILL sweat!
Review: I recently rented on DVD my very first Tae-bo workout, Tae-bo Cardio Circuit 1. I enjoyed the workout but, though I have been working out regularly for some time, I found it too advanced for me. At age 22, I probably could have handled it, but at age 52, I could not. In the store yesterday, I found this DVD Tae-bo Cardio. I did the workout this morning and, happily, it is similar to Cardio Circuit 1 but, even better, it is 10 minutes longer and not quite so intense. It's a very good workout but I was able to follow it all the way through to the end...there were just a few times I had to march in place, but it was only because I couldn't do as many reps on the first try as they were doing, not because I couldn't physically do a particular move (as was the case in Cardio Ciruit 1). I didn't mind this, because not being able to do all the reps on the first try shows me that I have room to grow in this workout.

If you've already been working out regularly with cardio and you want something really intense, I would suggest Tae-Bo Cardio Circuit 1. However, if you want a good workout but not something that is so intense that you can't keep up, I would suggest you start with Tae-Bo Cardio.

The only negatives that stood out to me in these DVDs:
1. It's sometimes hard to hear Billy over the music and the counting of his exercisers. THis is much worse in Cardio Circuit 1 than in Cardio.
2. Billy doesn't do a good job of helping the at-home exerciser in terms of directional cues. When he should be telling US to kick left because we are facing him as he kicks right, he tells us to kick right. I had a bit of a tough time learning some of the moves because of this but I'm sure I'll pick them up with repetition.

Billy is motivational...he both pushes you to achieve AND is understanding that you may not be able to do it all right away. His cooldown on the Cardio DVD is very t'ai chi-like, which I loved...very calming and peaceful. His closing on both DVDs is motivational and empowering--loved it.

Summary: Fun Workout
Review: I see that this DVD has mixed reviews... but I really don't see anything wrong with it. Yes, it is not the most difficult workout you can buy, but it is sufficient and will make you sweat. I like how Billy Blanks has lots of energy and always reminds you to hold in your abs and keeps them tight (I am always trying to get more definition in my stomach). I enjoy kicking and punching and would consider this a pretty good workout. I like this DVD and would recommend it to all levels (to increase intensity just make your kicks higher and your punches harder).

Summary: Great to combine with Taebo Flex
Review: I started out with Taebo Flex and bought this one a few weeks later. I disagree with all those who say it isn't for someone who has ever worked out before. I am not chunky or a couch potato, yet I get a great workout from these DVD's. I've worked out for years and I jog regularly, but it wasn't until a few weeks ago that someone asked me what kind of low-carb diet I was on. No low-carbs for me. Just Taebo. I love the routines, I love the results. Billy Blanks is not perfect, nor is he so annoyingly chipper like many female instructors, I just want to smack that smug little look off his face. The background music is not so jarring that you can't concentrate on what's being said. I would recommend this workout to anyone who wants to have fun and see results in a relatively short amount of time.

Summary: Great Cardio Workout
Review: I started using the Billy Banks (basics) Tae Bo tapes, but as time progressed I needed something a bit more challenging. This Cardio workout is a step above the basics, because it's longer. It allows you to get a more advanced workout without over doing it. Some moves seem a bit fast, but you don't have to go at their pace. Just do the same routine, but with slower moves, and soon you'll work your way up to quicker moves.
I really like it. I alternate with the Billy Banks Lower Body workout too. That one literally kicks my butt! Both leave me feeling energized.

Summary: Big Improvement over past videos
Review: I think this is one of the best Tae Bo Videos I own. He starts you with stretching and a gradual warm up. Unlike other Tae Bo videos, the reps are even on each side and he doesn't spend too much time on one move. I also found I had more time to recover between cardio moves. The length was okay. Advanced users might find it a bit short. There were a few moves that had some semi complicated footwork, if you have never tried Tae Bo, I suggest you purchase one of the instructional videos.

The DVD has no special features or bonuses, I was a little disappointed by that. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Review: i too found this as a nice change of pace, and its continuous, yet a little less than im used to with tae bo, i prefer the advanced which really doesnt give you any rest period and keeps you trying harder to keep up without pause. nice change of pace, i use this to work in with other tae bo if i dont feel ive gotton enough on some days, or for a faster and more laid back work out than im used to. those beginning out with tae bo or work out in general will find this a struggle to some degree.
