Summary: Do this only if you REALLY want to sweat........
Review: Because boy does she really keep the pace going!!! Other reviews mentioned that it is hard to see all the moves. I have to say, it is best to sit down and just watch the video first before you try it. Don't be afraid to rewind a bit and watch it again till you get the moves right. This is a calorie burner, no question about it. I only do this one when I want a bit of a pick me up, so I don't do it often. When I do this one, I do feel terrific and accomplished. One of those feelings like, HEY, I didn't fall on my butt this time!!!! Hooray! All of the music is Paula Abdul music, so if you like her music, you will love this work out video.

Summary: Even if you can dance, this video is horrible!!!
Review: Without question, this is the worst aerobics video I've ever done. I acutally gave it away after the first time I did it. I own a lot of aerobics videos, take aerobics classes, and took dance classes when I was younger. I know how to dance and can pick up on routines quickly. But this video is horrible. The moves are impossible to follow. Some of the moves involve so much fancy footwork that you're destined to twist your knee if you're trying to do the steps on a carpeted floor like I was. Anyway, do yourself a favor and find another video.

Summary: AWFUL!!!
Review: I love Paula Abdul and thought that this would be a fun way to get in shape but she cannot teach dancing at all. The satff she had filming the video was not too good either. They would be focusing on her head when you needed to see her feet to learn the step. I have taken dance for about 10 years and usually pick up on steps pretty quickly. Paula does not give the viewer the chance to learn the step and I never even broke a sweat while doing the video. Not recommended!!

Summary: Way too complicated
Review: This is the most complicated workout I've ever tried. Unfortunately, it was one of the first fitness videos I ever bought... at the time I thought that was why I couldnt' follow it. But, now I have been working out for a year and still can't follow Paula. The music is good, but the steps don't make sense and on top of it all ... it sure doesn't feel like you are getting any kind of workout at all. The only good thing I can say is ... the warm up and cool down are all right. I've been known to just do those and do some other kind of exercise in between as I fast forward.

Summary: The Best Dance Video I've Ever Used
Review: I bought this video a couple of weeks ago, and I absolutely love it! I would definately recommend it to all my friends. The video is fast-paced, and quite challenging at first, but after a few times doing the video, it's perfect. My sister tried this same video and stopped it before she got the whole way through saying that it was too hard. I however, stuck with it, and I now know the whole video by heart, and I love it! I get bored very easily with other videos, and this one keeps me interested. I actually want to work out. If you like to dance, you'll love this video.

Summary: It took awhile, but that's the point!!
Review: My sister and I bought this video and when we tried it the first time, well, it was a bit funny. We couldn't catch up and we had to pause several times.

You know what??? That's the great thing about this video! I couldn't wait to try it again. The second time we did the video, it was easier, but we still needed practice. Now, after several weeks, we have the routine down pat. Most exercise videos get boring after one or two tries. Not so with this video.

The abs at the end of the video are long enough to get your muscles burning, but short enough that you don't want to stop the video altogether.

We are definitely going to buy the other Paula Abdul video, any workout tape that convinces me to come back to it is worth its weight in gold!

Summary: Some good moves..some of them quite challenging
Review: I'm not going to comment on the video's value as an aerobic workout because I think you can make pretty much any exercise aerobic by maintaining continuity.
As far as a dance video goes, I think it's pretty good. I'm not buying her comments about the "ordinary" people she put together for the video..this isn't a routine for clumsy people and/or significantly overweight folks, especially the later sections. But anybody can pick up at least some useable moves from it. In my opinion, if you can get through the whole thing without stopping, at the pace it's shown, you're already quite fit and coordinated. I agree with what has been said about camera angles and such, but I was able to see what was being shown, even if I couldn't do all of it. Of the half dozen freestyle dance videos I've bought, I'd rate this the most advanced overall.

Summary: LOST 30 LBS!!!!!!!
Review: LOVED IT!!!! I had 3 years of dance under my belt, and this tape was an excellent way to get my groove on while getting wonderful cardio . The moves are very Paula-esic and mid 90's, but the workout was so intense I did it 2x's a day. Each step was broken down and taught in progression so it was extremely easy to follow.

Summary: Stay on the shelf...
Review: This video is hard to follow. Unless you have a lot of time on your hands it will stay on the shelf. I am a good dancer, but could not learn the steps fast enough to keep up the pace. The steps are demonstrated one time slow and then fast and faster.

Summary: Dancing with Paula
Review: This tape is a little hard to follow but not nearly as bad as many of these types. It's a good, fairly long work out and Paula is entertaining and the music is good and you get to learn some dance steps. Lot's of men in the class and, at the end, they take the lead away from Paula. They lead playfully through some cool down type of exercises which are fun (Y.M.C.A) and a welcome relief after Paula's fairly tough work out.
