Summary: Good, if you can dance
Review: The moves in this workout are highly complicated for an aerobic workout. It could be an excellent workout if you are into nightclubbing but is not suitable for the novice. The complicated steps cause you to stop often just to figure out what to do, therefore it is hard to get a good workout. If you're looking for something straightforward and basic, this is not it. If you like to dance, then you'll enjoy this fast paced workout.

Summary: You have to love to dance!
Review: I love this video. I used to be bored with the same old aerobic videos, but Paula Abdul has truly inspired me! I actually look forward to doing this! Even my 9 year-old son loves doing this with me. Every video I had done before consisted of cute little blondes with wash-board stomachs. Not this one. I felt like I could be on screen with these people and fit in. And the dance steps!!! They're so different! No more "grapevines" and "box steps" for me! It's the "George Jetson" and "Brain Teasers" all the way!!!!

Summary: Hey Mom of those dance lessons as a child really paid off!
Review: Well I put the tape in hoping for the worst because I hate to exercise. Next thing I knew I was actually having fun. Paula's energy and charisma reach out to you through the TV. Working out can actually be fun especially with Paula. Thanks mom for making me go to my ballet lessons they finally paid off. For the person with no dance experience in the beginning this tape may be frustrating but with a little practice the novice can enjoy the thrill of dance without ever having to take a lesson. I recommend this video to all of those who are a ballerina at heart and to all of those who have ever dreamed. It is the most fun you will ever have.

Summary: The Most Fun Work-out Video Ever
Review: This video is my all-time favorite! It's so much fun, you don't even think it's a work-out! I use this video at least twice a week - It's a blast!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Fun, funky, hope you like to dance!
Review: This is a fun video set to Paula's own music, but it's not for the beginning exerciser! If you're looking to put a little more funk, variety, and fun in your otherwise ho-hum routine that you've suffered for a few years.. this is the video for you. This may also make you pretty popular at the dance clubs once you learn the routines and get into the groove!

Summary: A Blast From Start to Finish!
Review: I always liked Paula Abdul but this tape made me love her! It is just a great, fun dance workout that leaves me covered in sweat! I really smile while I am doing the routines and although it takes time to get them right, if you are persistent it will be a piece of cake. Really fun! You must try this tape!

Summary: Get Up and Dance
Review: When I first got this video, I tried to follow along but before too long I mainly stood there staring at the TV thinking "you've got to be kidding me". It was about a week or so before I even played it to the end and then I thought that tacking on a long section of crunches was sadistic. The frequent reminders from Paula Abdul, her dancers and her recruited people exercising in the background to "not give up!" and "pause the tape if you have to!" were actually more intimidating than encouraging, and I thought that they moved way too fast through everything. I lost the remote to my VHS long ago and I was constantly hovering near the rewind button.

However, despite my first misgivings, I kept plugging away and it wasn't really all that long before I had the moves down and was exercising right along with them. Then it was suddenly nice that the tape was fast paced, because it means that its still interesting without a ton of really slow instruction. The tape is hard to pick up at first, but the dance steps are really fun. Its worth the initial confusion and disorder to get it all figured out.

Summary: So fun!
Review: I started doing this video with my college roommates, and it's lots of fun. Once you've done it a few times you'll have the moves done and then you'll be able to get more out of the workout (it's not a much work when you're stopping to figure out what you're doing wrong...). The YMCA part towards the end is stupid, but it keeps your heart rate up a little longer. Also, as part of the cool down there is a decent ab workout section.
Everyone I've done this with agrees that someone should bust out these moves when trying out for American Idol, just to see the look on Paula's face!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good workout
Review: I accually give this four & 1/2 stars since it is such a great workout. Some of the moves are a bit dated (sorry but I thougt the YMCA part was annoying) but I still like this one. Overall, I would still recommend this DVD to add to any dance-arobic collection.
(If you're into dance exercise DVDs I highly recommend Quickfix Cardio hip hop with Juliane Arney. It's really good.)

Summary: Great dance workout!
Review: This is a great workout dance video if you love to dance and want to incorporate it in as exercise. I have a background of ballet, jazz, and latin dance so I wanted to do this. I have a workout library of around 30 exercise videos, have had this one for 2 years and and is my favorite.
I would not recommend it for people who don't want to jump around a lot because there is a lot of jumping and/or people who have knee & joint problems.
Unless you have a lot of experience in dance hip-hop, jazz dance the steps may be challenging. However, she makes it unintimidating because one, Paula's personality is so warm and unpretentious that she can make a person feel relaxed and welcome, and two, she includes a giant roomful of what she calls "everyday people"- women and men from ages 18-30 it looks like, and third, she breaks down the steps slowly in 3 sections at different tempos from slow-medium-fast and repeats them over and over again. She encourages the viewer to pause the tape and practice the steps. So, it is not a workout to go straight through the first time or maybe the first few times. But if you are patient, you learn the steps which are fun, funky, expressive and at least I felt drawn in and part of it until after awhile I felt like I was at a big dance party each time I did it.
