Summary: Excellent, But a Little Too Bouncy
Review: This tape has done wonders for my body. It actually has decent music playing in the background. It does seem to be produced so that while the woman exercises, the man just watches Crawford. Exercising in a bodice, I'll have to try it...

Summary: an overall great workout
Review: I have many many workout tapes and I find that I like to mix and match them according to what I am in the mood for. Cindy's workout is the one I do the most. The actual workout is great and intense. Contrary to this, I find that there is too much strain on the knee joints, being a person with knee problems. I have found ways to work around this though. Another thing I didn't like about the workout is that Cindy goes way too fast to place any emphasis in working muscles like when she does her arm exercises. Radu counts too fast, is somewhat annoying, and I find myself wondering why the guy is even there. On another note, I have found this to be an excellent workout if you commit yourself to it and go at your own pace. I have definitely noticed a difference in my overall appearance. This and other workouts has helped me tone up lose almost 30 pounds and counting.

Summary: Fabulous!!
Review: OK, so maybe no one really works out in a bathing suit in bare feet on the beach, but Cindy and Radu still make you work your butt off. Great for toning, and not as unsafe as all the media hype. I lost 50 pounds in 5 months using her alternating days workouts.

Summary: Pretty good
Review: First off, who works out in a bustier swimsuit? This workout is more a music video featuring Cindy tossing her hair around. Instructor Radu is highly annoying (couldn't they have dubbed a better voice?) and does count way to fast.

However, the video does make you work and is an overall good strength builder. I don't know much about safetey, but you can adapt like the last reviewer said. The workout kind of grows on you. And I just ignore Cindy's hair and Radu's voice.

Summary: Great complete workout (One of the Best Out There)
Review: Would like to see future Video or DVD with Radu as the trainer. One of the best Workouts I've done with great results from Head to Toe.

Summary: THIS IS A GREAT WORKOUT
Review: I agree with the earlier writer. This tape has gotten a ton of very unfair and undeserved bad press -- the actual workout itself is sensational! Yes, Cindy is not as safety-oriented as she became in the later tape and her form is not always perfect but this is a wonderful workout. I worked out with one of Radu's trainers for 6 months, and this is the real thing -- for the price of this tape you can get Radu and save yourself $100 per hour. Worth every penny, several times over!

Summary: Not perfect, but 3 very effective workouts
Review: I've heard all kinds of hype about this tape being so unsafe, but I was curious, so I bought it. I was pleasantly surprised. I have had back problems since I was a teenager, and while a few of the movements are too broad or large for me, it's a really tough, effective workout. Actually there are 2 workouts of about 40-45 minutes a piece designed to be alternated, and there's a 10 minute miniworkout at the end. That one is great for just squeezing something into a busy day to feel better or get the blood flowing. Each of the longer workouts consists of a brief warmup, leg strengthening or toning exercises, upper body with weights and abdominals followed by a short cool down stretch. If you have enough workout savvy to alter the few movements that are a little risky (for example, don't bounce when you stretch like she does) you will be quite happy with this tape. The next day, everything that was supposed to be sore was, which was pretty much my whole body. The two days are also different enough to keep you interested. All in all, I thought it was well produced (it has a very slick look, like a video), well done (although Radu counts too quickly sometimes, just ignore it, like Cindy says) and very thorough. You'll feel it. And my back was just fine. Don't buy into the media hype over this tape or you will be missing out on a kick butt workout (or two). END

Summary: This WORKS!
Review: I have never understood the poor reviews this video has recieved. I have suffered numerous back and knee injuries in the past (while kickboxing and skiing) and have never had any problems with this routine. I have been doing this workout since it debuted in 1992! I have, however, injured myself while using other well-reviewed exercise videos such as Tamilee Webb's Tighter Assets CardioBlast (which is HELL on the knees!). I suppose that any workout or sport activity can be unsafe for anyone with pre-existing conditions, and it is a person's responsibility to work-out SAFELY, and only within their personal limits. My only criticism is that her form does need a little improvement - and could possibly be a bad influence on someone who is inexperienced at exercise. But these moves can be easily done safely and effectivly, with great results! I still think this is one of the best home exercise videos I've done - and boy, have I tried a few! I recently ordered a new DVD because I wore the old tape out! And unlike MANY other highly-recommended videos... you will see results FAST!

Summary: a keeper!
Review: I have an entire cabinet full of workout videos (several dating back to those hideous, early 80's leg warmer days!), and I must say that "Shape Your Body", which I purchased several years ago, is without question my favorite, most frequently used exercise video. On days I don't make it to the gym (which unfortunately is quite often) or when the weather doesn't permit me to go jogging outside, this Cindy Crawford video has always been a reliable standby - and a nice alternative to a traditional aerobic or cardio-type workout. I wouldn't advise doing it every day, though, or even every other day - you'd probably get burned out. It is, however, a great way to crosstrain or simply incorporate more variety into your existing fitness regimen. The music is cool, the scenery lovely and relaxing to view, and although Cindy is a bit amateurish, her simple, down-to-earth, girl-from-the-Midwest personality is a refreshing change from what one would expect of most celebrities & model types, which gives the video an appeal all its own. My favorite workout is #2, which to me is definitely more addicting than the first, but that's just me. I'll pop in the video while my daughter's napping, and I always feel really good after working out to it, like I've really done something. It is excellent for toning muscles and the results are always apparent soon after. No fancy dance moves - just simple, easy-to-follow (yet challenging) exercises to some good tunes. I also feel mentally relaxed and less stressed after doing the video. It's a basic, yet solid video that I highly recommend for any fitness level.

Summary: The best workout ever.
Review: I bought this workout when it first came out. I saw a change in one month I lost 30 pounds. I was satified with my results. I feel inspired to workout with the video. I know lots of friends who have barrowed the video and seen the results as well. I wasn't trying to "look" like her but wanted to lose weight and look fit. The music kept you going. Its almost like you move to the music. It makes working out fun.
The short workout is great if you are in a hurry or just want to maintain the weight and your physical apperence.
