Summary: Denise says it all "YOU will feel terrific"
Review: This 42 minute video begins with a brief introduction which follows with 2 pilates toning sessions. The first one is 22 minutes long and features some of the well know Pilates stretches as THE HUNDRED and LEG CURLS, etc. The second session is tough with pilates/yoga based toning..you will feel it!

This is a great addition for home exercisers, goes well with her recent book, "LOSING THOSE LAST 10 LBS." and for those who haven't seen/read this book, Denise suggests 2 pilates/yoga

toning days a week. If you have seen Denise in the past and/or present you will see that she has achieved a leaner look using this toning style.

Denise is her usually CHEERLEADER self, but i like her toning style, and it has seemed to work for her.

I like the 2 short segments you can do l or both. Toning is what she does best, in my opinion and she shines in this one!

Summary: 20mins To A Dancer's Body!
Review: I've been a fan of Denise Austin's work for over two years - working out with her has always been fun and motivating, and I am always happy with the results I get with her videos.
This Pilates workout has certainly brought great results to my body - and it only took two weeks to get it. Denise puts together two segments into 20 minute workouts, with the first workout working mostly on the abdominals and lengthening the body to get a long, lean look. The second brings more of a challenging, more complex workout that combines Pilates and Yoga poses to create a more intense workout for the body.

I found this workout to be totally effective and worth every penny, but here is a WARNING: I would NOT recommend this workout for beginners. You would need to be at least intermediate in Yoga, or another kind of flexible exercise. If you think you're pretty flexible, this workout might work for you. But I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who wasn't used to working out.

Summary: I LOVE this video.
Review: First off, I have to say that I love most of Denise Austin's videos and I also do her Fit&Lite and Daily Workout on Lifetime TV. I exercise in general for about 3-4 hours a day, so I'm not exactly a beginner, but I absolutely love the pilates to firm my legs and abs. The first part of the video seems easy to me, but the second part is more challenging.

I would not recommend, however, doing the second workout if you don't know some basic yoga principles, but its great if you do.

The only real problem I do have w/ the video is that she does tell you when she changes sides.

Other than that GREAT VIDEO!!!

Summary: A great pilates workout
Review: Thank you Denise for introducing me so nicely to Pilates, I loved your workout, it's working wonders on my tummy and legs, I wish people would give your voice a break, I enjoyed doing the workout from beginning to end.

Summary: TOO HARD - For experts only!
Review: There are 2 workouts on this video. The 1st might as well be called the stomach crusher because my abs hurt so bad within the 1st five minutes I had to stop. In the 2nd workout, she has you bending and twisting in so many directions so quickly, it would be a miracle if the average person didn't hurt themselves. Unless you've had formal ballet training or are in great shape, this video is not for you. I've played a lot of sports in my life and consider myself active and coordinated. I bought this video for the two 20 min. workouts because I work and have 2 kids so have limited time for exercise. However, I was very disappointed.

Summary: Great for Abs!
Review: I really like Denise Austin's videos, and since I haven't exercised in about a year, I decided to try this video to see what all the "Pilates" hype is about.

I just got the video today & have only done the first 20 minute segment so far. I really like it, while you're doing the video the time really flies by- I was really surprised by how quickly the first 20 minutes were over! I have NEVER tried Pilates before, so I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to catch on- but I did it no problem! After the 20 minute workout I was left wondering if all the trouble (with trying something new) was worth it, just because it was relitivly easy & didn't feel like "work" at all...Well, 5 hours later my ABs are sore- big time, so even though the moves may seem simple (and most of us assume that only really hard work will get you in shape) - you will be pleasantly surprised by this video. It's not that difficult to catch on to & it's not strenuouse - but trust me, it really will tone up your tummy!

I would really recommend this video if you want to work on your ABs specifically, because the video really targets that area. If you hate doing crunches because you may find them boring & repetitive then I would HIGHLEY reccomed this video - because you get the AB workout without having to do the same old boring repititions you may have done in gym class. It's a new approach to toning the AB muscles.

For best results I would alternate this video with something that focuses on a total body workout.

I have read a lot of reviews for many of Denise's videos & some of the biggest complaints are her voice & encouragement- she's not that bad, people really arn't giving her enough credit, I find her very motivational & very calming & soothing. All these people that complain about her could have made it real easy on themselves & turned on the Lifetime Network to see her morning "Fit & Lite" segments to get an idea of what she & her workouts are like.

Try her segments on lifetime, see if you like them - and if you want to start advancing then pick up some of her videos so you can select what you want to work on whatever day of the week you choose.

Also, with every new video purchase, just run the video first (without doing the moves) - that way you can catch on quicker & have some expectations for what is coming up next.

Summary: Excellent Abdominal Workout!
Review: This DVD worked what seemed to be all of my abdominal muscles. I felt muscles I didn't know I had (I was especially aware of them for a few days after first starting)! I particularly like the concept of strengthening the "deeper" muscles. A few weeks after doing the Pilates routine daily there was a noticeable difference in my midsection.

Denise's peppy attitude is encouraging and keeps the excercises from being a chore. This is my favorite workout!

Summary: Favorite Denise video, a MUST BUY!!! (RATE ME!!)and READ ME
Review: I love this tape, I ordered it used and received it like a week ago and I am hooked to it I do it every day best of all, there are 2 20-min workouts the first one is fun and get's to the point, the second one is a real challenge but in time with practice you can do it, I'm a ballet dancer and I find that the second part is great for balance and concentration, she also moves quickly so you don't get bored, but she doesn't have a good cue and in sometimes does more reps. on ome side than on the other so even if she stops i keep going to get it right but that isn't the problem the thing is that you'll get a good workout and challenge yourself while doing this my favorite thing about it is NO EQUIPMENT REQUIRED so i recomend you buy it and have a good time with it ( time goes by quickly, non-boring guaranteed!!!)
