Summary: Skip this unless you are an exercise neophyte.
Review: This was so utterly disappointing. I was afraid of this, being made in the 80's and all. It lived up to all my low expectations. The exercises are like something uncoordinated 1st graders would do. Not to mention these ladies look like a bunch of untalented 6 year olds doing this dorky routine. If you are trying to maintain muscle tone with this you can forget it. Now if you have never exercised, this is probably ok to start with.

I had been doing Tae Bo previous to becoming pregnant and am naturally comparing this video to it. I realize a pregnancy workout should be low impact, but this is ridiculous. I guess it's back to modified Tae Bo without the kicks.

Summary: Mother of 2 in AZ
Review: With my first pregnancy, I worked out at the gym quite a bit and still gained 40 lbs. With my second, I gained 25, and lost it within 6 mos. Obviously, there were other factors involved (like chasing around a 2yr old!) but I really felt this video helped me stay fit during my 2nd pregnancy. I felt better, and my recovery the second time was very fast. Get Dr.'s ok first, but even with a history of miscarriage, I was able to safely use this video. I used it postpartum while nursing, and didn't have problems with the exercise hurting my milk supply. Now I've passed it on to a pregnant friend, and am using some of Kathy's other videos. But I will definitely go back to it for my next pregnancy. It is safe (VERY IMPORTANT!), effective and fun.

Summary: DORKY/WHITE WOMEN CAN'T DANCE VIDEO!
Review: I MUST SAY I WAS REALLY DISAPOINTED. I WAS EMBARRASSED DOING THIS VIDEO AT HOME BY MYSELF! IT IS SO DORKY. IF YOUR INTO THE WHITE MANS 70'S SWING WHILE SKIPPING YOUR FEET BACK AND FORTH THIS IS FOR YOU. IF YOUR PREGNANT AND "NOT" OVER 40 I WOULD SKIP THIS ONE!

Summary: Help keeps you in shape at this important time
Review: I find this video is an easy way to keep up your energy during pregnacy. Just done two or three times a weeks it helps keep your body more limber and in less pain. Time goes by fast during the routine and is well paced!

Summary: Great Video! Just the right speed for pregnancy
Review: When I was pregnant I bought Denise Austin's pregnancy video and I was not impressed. She was a little too "chipper" for me. I then found Kathy Smith's video and loved it! I have always worked out but my pregancy really took its toll on me.....I was really tired all the time and gained alot of water weight. This video was perfect! She is such a wonderful instructor and calmly takes you through every move. It was just the right level of intensity for me during my pregnancy and I will defintely use it for my next one. I highly recommed this video to anyone who wants to stay in shape throughout her pregnancy!

Summary: Excellent Video
Review: I have the WORST morning sickness when I am pregnant, and I always loose too much weight. With my last pregnancy, my doctor put me in the hospital for too much weight loss. As soon as the morning sickness went away, I caught up on my eating, and then my doctor warned me that I was now GAINING to much weight (Geesh!) My friend lent me this tape. What can I say? It was wonderful. A great stress reliever. I looked forward to doing it almost every single night. And I didn't get bored with it - which was surprising. The rap was annoying on my moody days, and one of the workout girls was annoying, but fun to mock (I could justify that thru my moodiness). An excellent workout. I didn't gain any extra weight onto of what was expected. I recommend this tape to ANY pregnant women. It was WONDERFUL! and good luck.

Summary: Good all around workout for maintaining fitness level.
Review: I was in excellent shape before I got pregnant and continued my regular workouts for several months into my pregnancy. I bought this video tape to help keep me excerising as my belly got bigger and I became more clumsy! I think it a pretty good tape - a bit easy for my fitness level, but it gets my heart rate up and all-in-all, is a well-rounded, safe workout for pregnant women. I do supplement this with a step workout and some additional power-walking. I'm not sure it would provide me with enough of a workout on its own. However, I can reccommend it, especially for those with a mid-lower level of fitness.

Summary: skip this video if you are in good shape
Review: A bit too cute for me, the pregnacy rap was awful. The strength part was great, but the aerobics are not a good enough workout if you are in good shape. I kept waiting for it to pick up. Good tape if you are new to working out, skip it if you are already in good shape or can't stomach the cuteness.

Summary: Excellent video for you and your kids
Review: I found Kathy Smith's Pregnancy Workout to be excellent--well worth the money. I usually stay away from home videos because the instructors are too perky, but I do not find this to be the case with Kathy Smith at all. In fact, she's very reassuring.

The choreography is not hard to follow at all, and the moves, while not being too challenging, definately give you a workout. What I found to be especially nice is the way the video is broken down. There is a 7 minute warm up, 3 stages of aerobics, which enable you to take a drink and catch your breath, and a moderate amt of leg work, arm work, and abdominals. I do find that I skip over the relaxation part. Kathy Smith also gives you moderations to moves, in case some are too challenging.

This video is so enjoyable that my 2 year old, 4 year old, and 6 year old can, and want to, exercise with me. I find this video very motivating and I look forward to doing it every morning when I wake up. I have never felt so good about my pregnant body before. In my opinion, this video is a MUST!

Summary: Excellent all-around fitness for us "Pregos"ΓΏ
Review: I loved this tape! I thought this was an excellent workout. I've used three other pregnancy exercise videos and found this one to be the best. The energizer, 3 aerobic sessions, toner and cool down provided me with a great work out session each day. The interviews with the OBGYN were informative and reassuring. The post-natal stretches and workout were great as well and made me feel like I was already getting back in shape in as little as one day after delivery.
