Rating: Summary: I love this workout Review: I really enjoy this workout. Its fun, not too long (about 35 min) and makes me sweat. I like Kathy Smith's kickboxing workout much more than TaeBo. The production of the Kathy Smith tape is better in every sense. I highly recommend it.
Rating: Summary: My favorite video workout Review: Definitely a keeper. Unlike other aerobics videos that left me bored after a few times through, I still love this one, and actually look forward to working out to it.
Rating: Summary: TAE BO COLLECTS DUST ON MY SHELF Review: This tape kicks butt! I can't get enough of it. I have done many exercise videos, but this one has given me amazing results. Although this may be a rigorous workout, I feel the instructions are exact (Which is important in getting maximum results) and the music is pumping! The ab and back segment is something I've never done before. Maybe that's why I've seen a great change in my abdomen in the last month! This workout is well worth the money. p.s. The only thing distracting is Kathy's funky hairdo!
Rating: Summary: Great for Beginners Review: This is one of the best kickboxing videos for beginners because the instruction is very good. Kickboxing can be dangerous if the moves are done incorrectly. Kathy explains everything quite well which makes this the perfect tape for those wanting to learn kickboxing. It's also a great workout for intermediates, gets the heart rate up, and it's fun. Advanced kickboxers would be bored with it. It's another great Kathy Smith tape.
Rating: Summary: Easy to follow Review: This video is fun and easy to follow and does not require a jump rope.
Rating: Summary: Wow, not everyone shares my views Review: You do not need a jumprope to do this video. That review may have been thinking of Kathy Smith's boxing video - not her kickboxing video. I own the DVD. I find it to be an excellent workout. I bought it after doing Tae-Bo for six months. After doing it, my legs were sore - an indicator of a good workout! It has some fun combinations, with some guest instructors. It starts out with a 15-minute warmup, during which you will do moves to prepare you for the kicks. A long warmup is necessary before jumping into heavy cardio. Then, you start with punches, move onto kicks, and combinations. My only complaint is that the punching drills can become boring. If I lost my gym membership, I would begin to do this video at frequent intervals again.
Rating: Summary: better than billy Review: This tape provides much more benefits than Tae Bo tapes w/ billy blanks. Being a college student, exercise tapes float around the dorms and using this tape one can expect to get in shape without fear of injury as in the dangerous quick moves used in Tae Bo videos. This tape can be done anywhere, w/ no equipment necessary, and is over in no time. If you need to cardio exercise but you don't want to be on the treadmill everyday, this is a good three time a week alternative.
Rating: Summary: No Jump Rope Required and a Decent Sweat Review: This is a good intermediate workout, with fluid instruction. You will sweat. I find the timing good for working into a busy day; only about 45 minutes, start to finish. You DO NOT need a jump rope for this workout; I think the prior reviewer may be confusing this with Smith's "Aerobox" workout.
Rating: Summary: Excellent, and you don't need a jump rope Review: The previous reviewer has this tape mixed up with Aerobox, Kathy's other tape. This one is all kickboxing, and it is excellent and fun. You don't need to be advanced with this one, just keep your kicks low. It might take a couple tries to get the moves down, but the kicking drills at the end definitely help.
Rating: Summary: Needed more info! Review: I think this is an intense workout, I would have just liked it to be clearer that you need a JUMP ROPE to do it! And who can jump rope easily on carpet? Not I!
