Summary: Advanced Workout Tapes
Review: I thought both tapes were good. Tape 1 was more of a cardio workout and Tape 2 was more of a strenght building workout. Both were challenging. My one compliant is, he TALKS TO MUCH. He has a habit of conducting lectures during the middle of the workout, causing you to cool down. There is NO NEED to provide so many instructions or slow reps during an ADVANCED workout.

Summary: Great full body workout...
Review: I tried Tae Bo to replace some of the running I do, which has been hard on my back. At first, I didn't think this workout would
be challenging, as I had been a regular runner and in pretty good shape. But it is definitely challenging, and works the entire body... I was quite sore the first few times I did the workouts. After a couple months, the moves are still challenging and I am dripping sweat at the end of the session.
If you are a beginner, try the Basic workout first- this is a faster pace and for those who already work out. The music can get annoying after awhile, but you can always turn it down.
Overall, two great workouts!

Summary: Great Workout
Review: I used to teach aerobics but this workout has me in much better shape than I was then.I don't get winded walking upstairs anymore and it really is the best workout for your whole body that I have found. It isn't easy but you have to do what you can and stick with it.

Summary: Billy Blanks IS THE BEST!!!
Review: I was a devoted follwer of his original tapes, so when these came out I was VERY eager to try them. They are FANTASTIC!!! They are more intense than the originals and more fun! They continue to challenge me, and I get bored easily. The cardio level is comparative to running or spinning, and you tone your whole body doing it. It keeps getting better!
Highly reccomended!!!

Summary: Not better or worse, just different.
Review: I was a huge fan of the original TaeBo advanced workout, so I was really excited when this new DVD came out (especially since my first workout was on VHS and is about ready to give out). Beware that this Taebo workout is much different than the first. Movements are much faster, giving you a more intense workout, but also increasing the risk of injury. There isn't any floor work in this video, which I miss because the first video had a great abs section. Your butt and thighs will probably be toned enough after the regular floor workout, however, so a floor session for these areas probably isn't needed. Finally, Billy Blanks is much less annoying in this new edition. Mind you, he's still annoying and likes to preach to you about how fit you'll be, but he doesn't go off on sermons while you're busy doing yet another extra set of some painful move. Billy, although I wish you would shut up a lot more, I must say, your workout videos are the best around. I saw results after the first week!

Summary: Now this workout is kicking!!
Review: I've always been a workout freak for most of my life. I've done it all spinning, step, aerobics .....etc!! Then my cousin introduced Taebo to me. She had a tape sitting in her living room and I was curious about it. Then the same night I saw a commercial about Taebo and I just couldn't take it anymore I ordered the whole thing! Since I've gotten Taebo crazy I've never looked back again!! I just love the Get Ripped Advanced!! I do it 6 days a week along with the 8 minute workout or a Get Ripped Basic. I just can't bring myself to go back to the gym! FOR WHAT!!!?? I've gotten much better results with the Get Ripped Advanced then I could ever imagine. It has become very addictive. Everyone should try it you'll be surprised at what it does to your body.

Summary: Great total body workout
Review: I've been a runner for most of my life and decided to try out a workout video for a change and vary my routine. I love this tape, it really works your entire body, I even got sore the first time I used it and I never get sore from running. Since I started with the advanced workout I would recommend getting a basics tape so that you can learn to do the moves correctly. This is a fast workout as well and so you get cardio along with strength training.

Summary: Super intense, fun workout!
Review: If you are looking for a very challenging but fun workout, here it is. I have been doing the original Tae Bo workout for about a month and decided to try another one with a little more challenge. It is definitely a better workout, better music and good energy. I would not recommend this workout for the beginner, but to anyone with a little experience.

Summary: If you want to sweat and really feel the burn get this DVD!
Review: Kudos to Billy Blanks and crew. There really is no excuse to not work out to this dvd. The 8-minute work out is jammed packed with exercises to really get your blood flowing and muscles burning. Now I can get an effective workout in the morning for just 8 minutes and can do either one of the hour long exercises in the evening. I'm sure it will allow me to form a routine and see immediate results. Actually, after just one round, I feel empowered and encouraged to continue. I totally recommend this program to anyone who's pressed for time. I also recommend that you purchase the instructional and/or basic exercises to get familiar with the form before trying this advanced level. BUY THIS DVD!!!

Summary: TaeBo will transform you
Review: Once you master the Get Ripped Basic workouts, give these Advanced workouts a shot...they will transform you!!! TaeBo at this level is not for everyone, though, so if you aren't up to an hour of intense heart pounding exercise, I would suggest you stick with Basic or try Cardio, Flex, or the new 2004 series.

As for some of the complaints other reviewers have made, I think they are missing the forest for the trees. Any workout tape can be picked apart and criticized for one thing or another. With these workouts, you just have to give your all and have faith that Billy Blanks knows what he is doing (which he certainly does!) and you will get your body into awesome shape.

Billy's daughter Shellie is an inspiration and keeps the class (and me) motivated with her counting and encouragement. Some reviews have been critical (or even downright mean) about her appearance and/or perspiration, which is ludicrious. These are tough workouts. Everyone on the tape sweats. You will sweat. Get over it.
