You can even view images and listen to a background soundtrack of digital audio simultaneously. The slim profile of the KS4127 fits comfortably into standard cabinets. The KS4127 has component, S-video, and composite A/V outputs as well as a coaxial digital audio output to a Dolby Digital receiver for 5.1-channel surround sound. It offers such DVD playback controls as fast and slow forward and reverse, chapter skip, zoom (up to 5x), language selection, and resume play. Dolby Digital: In this sound format designed for movie theaters, the rear speakers output stereo sound with an expanded frequency range, and a subwoofer channel for deep bass is independently provided. This format is also called "5.1" because the subwoofer channel is counted as 0.1 channel (since it functions only when a deep bass effect is needed). All six channels in this format are recorded individually to realize superior channel separation. Furthermore, since all the signals are processed digitally, less signal degradation occurs.
