Learning Addition

Review: I bought the addition & subtraction dvds for my 4 1/2 year old son. I would say that the average age for viewing the whole dvd would be about 8 years old. The nice thing is that it is segmented so that you can select the subject you would like to view. Another nice feature is that it uses a few different ways to arrive at the same outcome so that it covers the different aspects in which children learn. I have been teaching my son simple addition and subtraction for quite a few months and we watch the first 2 segments for reinforcement on a regular basis. As he progresses, so will the dvd. The down side to this dvd is it is soooo dry. Just the facts, which is ok, but, it doesn't make a child excited about the concept of math.
