Summary: I'm not sure what I think about this video
Review: I expected a lot more from this video from reading the reviews however this video did not meet my expectations. I wanted the characters to actually go through the motions of potting training, by pulling their pants down and getting on the potty. There was not enough sitting on the potty by the other babies, however Prudence does a good job by sitting and showing how to use the potty,I wish they showed how to pull her pants down and then sit to pee pee in the potty. My 24 month old son was doing a good job using the potty before I purchased the video. I needed assistance with showing him how to pull his pants down and tell me when he has to use the potty. He use the potty when he's around the house naked, as soon as I put underwear on him he pee's in his pants. The video captured his attention as I sat with him to encourage him want was happening in the video. I have not seen any difference however I guess time will tell.

Summary: Just Plain Awful
Review: I had my heart set on buying this video and also the boys version for my two children, ages 2 and 3. I was about to make the purchase, but before I did I went to the library and checked out the VHS of Once Upon a Potty.

I am so disappointed. The actual story portion of the tape is probably about 5 or 10 minutes at the most. The rest of the kids portion of the tape- another 5 or 10 minutes- is the stupid potty song. This tape grates on my nerves so much I have to leave the room when the kids are watching it.

I hope that it produces the desired result which is helping my daughter understand and show interest in potty-training. Quite frankly I would never buy this tape because there must be less painful ways for parents to go through the training process with their toddlers. I am going to buy a couple of books instead.

Summary: We love Prudence
Review: I have three potty videos and this is the favorite. Whenever my two year old wants to see the "potty video", this is the one she wants. She loves to watch Prudence learn to use the potty. The music and songs are pretty catchy too (in fact I find myself singing them hours and days later!) My only complaints are that child's portion ends too quickly and the doctor is stilted and a little intimidating.

Summary: VERY HELPFUL!
Review: I needed some help teaching my 2 1/2 year old to use the potty, so I got this video. It didn't help at all - the kids on there are BABIES who sit on the potty with their diaper on. This is all my daughter wanted to do after watching the video. There is one part where "Prudence" puts the potty on her head, which my daughter also wanted to do. It'd be more helpful it if taught kids of the right age how to pull their pants down, sit on the potty, then afterwards WASH THEIR HANDS. No mention of toilet paper at all, either. This was a complete waste of money and time for us.

Summary: VERY HELPFUL!
Review: I used the "for him" video with my son who is now 7 1/2 yrs old and the "for her" video with my daughter who is now 5 1/2 and now I'm purchasing it for my 2 year old. The books are good to reinforce as well. It's such a cute video and tasteful.

Summary: Not worth it.
Review: Let's be realistic here; parents buy a potty video to help teach the child. Having read enough about what the parent is to do, I bought this video for my twin girls thinking it was a 30 minute (per the box) or so video designed to teach all aspects of the potty to the child. The children's video is about 5 minutes; another five minutes of "credits" and the remainder, and clear majority of the video is parental advice. I returned it the same day in favor of a video that would take longer than five minutes to teach my girls all aspects of this important ritual.

Summary: my class goes wild over the song
Review: my 2 year old preschool class is wild about this video in a months time i have gone from only 2 children being potty trainned out of 14, to 10 of the 14 all because of this video. I couldn't find a better potty video anywhere. I am a big fan of this video!

Summary: HIGHLY EFFECTIVE POTTY TRAINING TOOL!!!
Review: My 22 mos. old daughter has the Bear in the Big Blue House Potty Training Video and this one, and this video is the ONLY one she really grasped the concept from...she found Bear very entertaining, but did not grasp the training idea behind the story...with this video, however, she picked up on the idea right away and LOVED the characters, story and songs!!! My daughter RARELY sits still, yet she sits spellbound and mezmerized by this video 2x/day...after watching the video, she heads straight for her potty with curiousity and enthusiasm!!! INVALUABLE POTTY TRAINING TOOL!!! THIS VIDEO IS ESSENTIAL!!!
