Summary: Stunning
Review: Although Audrey Hepburn can not be compared to anyone, I feel that Jennifer Love Hewitt demonstrated Audrey's sweetness and innoncence very well. It is soo easy to understand how so many of us love Audrey, her charm and smile. I really enjoyed the way the movie was set up and I loved the costumes.

Summary: Slips and slides
Review: This is a light and frothy attempt to tell the life story of the 1st 30 years of Hepburn's life. Why do I have a problem with that? Well, first of all, she lived until she was 63, she divorced Mel Ferrer, got remarried and divorced, and "shacked up" with another man for the final 13 years of her life. She struggled to have a child. Her 2nd husband was unfaithful. She had little contact with her father. She didn't do much of the singing in "My Fair Lady." She suffered during the 2nd World War. This movie, if it was REALLY telling the TRUE Audrey Hepburn story, would have chronicled all this in greater detail. Yes, Hepburn was a great actress who became a cherished icon. Yes, she was a fine human being whose tireless work for UNICEF brought her much praise and attention to the forgotten children of this world, but she was a human being too with struggles not unlike what we "mere mortals" have to endure. My fellow reviewers and I could have identified with her a lot more if she had been portrayed a person with faults and problems, not as a pristine, cardboard icon.

Summary: What a wonderful Movie!
Review: I was stunned at the number of people who didn't like this movie. I am amazed at what a wonderful job Jennifer Love Hewitt did at portraying Audrey. I also appreciated the fact that the movie had very little swearing and no inappropriate scenes. I am so glad that there are still good, pure movies out there. This is definently one of those! I recommend this movie to EVERYONE!I thank the producers for this terrific story and production. I would buy this movie in a minute!

Summary: Better Than Expected Portrayal
Review: Frankly, I came to this film expecting to find fault and to be a detractor. After all, how could someone have the temerity to attempt to portray Audrey Hepburn, one of the ethereal luminaries of the screen. I fell in love with Audrey Hepburn when I was 12 years old and saw her in Sabrina in 1954; I remained in love with her for the rest of her life. Consequently, I doubted that any mere mortal could do justice to this role, especially Jennifer Love Hewitt, who had not be known for major dramatic performances. However, I must concede that I was pleasantly surprised.

The performance was quite convincing and believable. Hewitt had Audrey Hepburn's voice and a number of her mannerisms down quite well, and also conveyed some of the fragility of her personality. On balance, I found the film quite satisfying and enjoyable.

Summary: Paging Ms. Portman...
Review: I've never watched JLH before (except for a cameo on Boy Meets World), so I watched this movie with a fresh outlook. I have never seen Scream or any other movie of hers. What did I think?

Yuuuuuuuck.

The reviewer who said that Natalie Portman should have the role was oh-so-right. Not only does she resemble Audrey Hepburn physically (they have the same fresh "ingenue" face, the same kind of eyes, even kind of similar hair. Only problem is NP is a bit short, but that's okay...) but she also has definite acting talent.

Ms. Hewitt, instead, seems to spend the entire movie revelling in "I'm Audrey! I'm Audrey! I'm Audrey!" rather that actually telling the story. Her acting ability, never a strong point, is emphasized by the constant comparison to the REAL Audrey Hepburn. And there's little to redeem her when the actors around her are frequently as flat as she is--I know it's hard to be Bogie, but at least try, okay?

Not only that, but this movie chooses to focus on the prettier parts of Audrey's life, glossing over such things as starvation in WW2 and her desperate desire to have a child (and failures). It focused on three out of all of her movies: all of them light, happy-ending romantic comedies where she wears pretty dresses from beginning to end. Apparently she figured that nobody would watch anything else. Did it irritate this uninteresting actor to see a movie by Audrey with a more chilling plot? Did she decide that this is what she would have done only if she were Audrey?

What about suspenseful "Charade"? The classic "War And Peace"? Oh, and like, what's up with that, like, fuddy-duddy Rex Harrison, y'know?

Watch A&E's biography of Audrey Hepburn. Hewitt destroys the true-life drama of Audrey Hepburn by downplaying the real tragedies and hardships in favor of the little black dresses. It's a sad, sad thing.

Summary: Hey, Jennifer Love Hewitt was not that bad in this movie...
Review: Jennifer Love Hewitt did a not-too-bad job in portraying Audrey Hepburn although she was not able to grasp everything about Audrey. Speaking the truth, playing Audrey Hepburn is a gambling, a risky task in every sense. I don't think that there r more than very few ppl who can really carry the mission, and we can't expect that we are going to see a facsimile of the best actress in the Hollywood history. So, at least, we should give Jennifer some applauses for her courage to take the role.

Summary: A masterpiece, Two Thumbs up for Jennifer Love Hewitt.
Review: I found this movie outstanding. I believe that JLH played a powerful role as Audrey Hepburn. She looked like her, acted like her, and sounded like her. I've been a fan of JLH for 3 years now and I can tell you now that this is the best work I've ever seen her do. She has all the sex appeal and glamor that Audrey Hepburn had. Who ever purchases this movie is definetly their money's worth.

Summary: Better than I expected!
Review: Despite the negative feedback from Hepburn enthusiasts, I felt JLH did a terrific job portraying the late beauty. I think when it comes down to it, she was probably the only actress that could have pulled it off. The story does tend to drag a little bit, but it's a biographical film. Not a ficticious drama. I thought a terrific job was done. I expected to be let down, but I was totally impressed with all of the actors and the writing.

Summary: Why did she think she could play Audrey Hepburn?
Review: Jennifer Love Hewit is realy just a fad so her trying play a legend is just seems realy silly. For while I actually liked JLH well maybey not like but I could stand her after seeing this movie i lost all resepct for her. I don't think any one could play her, though I think Winona Ryder in some ways reminds me of her though doubt she'd do a TV movie. Jennifer Love Hewit maybe admires Audrey Hepburn but I still think doing this movey was bad idea. She could of helped UNACEF that's what Audrey Hepburn probaly would want to be remebered for. They didn't mention that at all (okay five second of UNACEF) they only showed two films she made and Audrey Hepburned made 27. I fond this flim very insulting to Audrey Hepburn fans.
