Summary: A Great Show!
Review: ER is my favorite medical drama show and I'm glad it's on DVD! The only complaint I have about the DVD is that they are double sided and the excuse has been made that it helps keep the cost down for a one hour TV shows complete season boxset but I own other DVD boxsets for one hour TV shows and they managed to put the episodes on single sided discs and the price of the boxsets are even lower then ER. I do like that the episodes in this ER set are in widescreen though.

Summary: Great Series, love the Anamorphic wide screen
Review: Why does a series made for TV on widescreen only play as a distored full screen on some players? Why are the subtitles only offered in French. Don't the designers of features realize that an English speaking audience just might have hearing problems and need the substitles. Get with it. At least offer it in English and then add in French and Spanish. Most do.

Stories, picture quality when the player isn't forcing it to full screen, is very good. Enjoyed seeing the earlier stories again even if I can't hear everything. I guess I'll just have to live with the volume turned up and hope I don't miss too many words.

Summary: The Best Show!!!
Review: I love this show! I just started watching ER this past year, so I missed alot, so this is a great way for me to catch up!!!! I remember when I was youger saying to my mom that the show was gross because it showed to much blood and stuff but now it really doesn't bug me!!! This is one of those show that are going to be around for a long time, even if it has all new cast members because its as real life as you can get without being there!!! Anyways I Just Really LOVE ER!!! Keep up the good work!!!

Summary: ER Season 1
Review: "ER" is about the emergancy room medical resedents in Chicago's County General Hospital. The team is led by Mark Greene (Anthony Edwards), a smart and caring ER attendent. George Clooney plays hard working and hard partying Doug Ross. Eric Le Salle is Pete Benton, a hard driving and demanding surgical attendent. Noah Wyle is funny as comic relief John Carter, a first year student assigned to Benton. And Julianna Margulies plays nurse Carol Hathaway, a woman tron between responsable fieance Dr. John Taglieri or care free Dr. Ross. I am very sure I am preaching to the choir here, most people who want this DVD has probably been a fan since the beginning. I was not, I had to get this season and then play catch up in sydication (God bless TNT). Season one is not the best season, but it is a good start to a great series. ER is one of the best shows on TV, right behind "Law and Order" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel" (OK, one of these is not like the others). I guess the stand out player this year is Edwards. He is compassionate about his work and succeding, but on the flip side not doing a very good job keeping his family together.

Summary: A Wonderful Show!
Review: Well... the first season was one of my favorites. I just wanted to write an online review, to tell everyone, if you like the show ER, this is for you. It brings back to you, the whole ER first season, plus, the pilot episode, which brings back Carol Hathaway's suicide. It also includes director commentary, and the birth of ER. It talks about the success of ER, and more. If you like ER, this DVD is for you.

Summary: I was instantly hooked!
Review: Thanks to TNT, I have been catching up with this wonderful show.

Season 1 sets up the characters and life in the E.R. Some are instantly appealing (Hathaway, Lewis), others take time to grow on you (Carter. Benton).

This is a definite purchase.

Summary: ER is the best
Review: I would recommend this DVD to anyone. Of course, fans of ER will love the chance to watch the 1st season commercial free. But even if you've never watched an episode, you should buy this anyway. It's a great DVD. The episodes are beautifully directed and acted, and the medicine and trauma is mesmerizing. The characters are interesting, easy to like and fun to watch. The extras are great too. I've watched these DVDs and gotten a lot of use out of them.

If you are a cynic of network TV, you might be happy to know - so am I. I think most of what is on TV nowadays isn't worth watching, but even I, a true critic, think ER is amazing.

Summary: Great DVD - Great Show! Perfect!
Review: This DVD is one of the best of it's kind. The extras are fun AND - - - the pleasure of watching the first season's episodes without commericals is wondeful. Don't forget that the second season DVD will be released in April. 'I' can't wait!
