Summary: Adrian...they did it!
Review: Once in a great while a movie comes along that appeals not only to arthouse buffs, but action movie seekers as well. But perhaps none has done as well as Rocky.I strongly recommend you get this movie because it is what I consider essential viewing.

Review: The most inspriational film. Even the story behind the movie is more inspiring. It is always a cheerful film as well. How can anyone show antipathy for this film? Anyway, the film was deemed to be great for the following two reasons: great acting and great direction. Without them, Rocky wouldn't be Rocky.

Summary: Do you know what Rocky talked to Mickey infrontof his apart?
Review: Of course I love it, this scene.
I'm Korean.
In korea, there were famous film commentator.
I remember his articles in newspaper in 1980.
He said "Do you know or Guess what Rocky talked to Mickey in front of his apartment? The answer is, nobody knows. but if you love them all, you can guess."
Since then, still now, I'm watching ROCKY.
Maybe 100 times.
And I can make it. I can guess what were they talking.......

Summary: Love Conquers All
Review: In many ways ROCKY reminds me very much of MARTY. Both movies are about bachelors of Italian descent who are perceived as underdogs. Both men are stuck in a rut leading aimless lives mostly confined to their own ethnic neighborhoods. Marty lives in the Bronx and Rocky in Philadelphia. Both are saved by luck and above all by love which suddenly gives them new hope and purpose.

ROCKY received Oscars for Best Picture, Director (John G. Avildsen) and Editing. It also was nominated for Best Actor (Sylvestor Stallone), Best Actress (Talia Shire), Best Supporting Actor (Burgess Meredith and Burt Young), Story, Screenplay, Song and Sound.

The big competition for awards in 1976 came from NETWORK with Peter Finch, Faye Dunaway, William Holden and Ned Beatty. It was ROCKY, however, which stood the test of time and became permanently fixed in the public consciousness.

Summary: a true winner
Review: Years ago, when my college girlfriend took me to this movie and told me that I would love it, I never realized how right she would be. (maybe I should have stayed with her?). You know the story and the characters but if you haven't seen this movie in a while then perhaps it's time to see it again. The mood, the style, the settings; everything combines to portray the story of what can happen when you believe in yourself. And how that belief can effect the others around you. See it again, you won't be sorry.

Summary: Rocky
Review: This is one of my favorite films. Rocky is a great story about a Philadelphia club fighter who gets the chance of a lifetime. Rocky Balboa is this character, played by Sylvester Stallone. His apartment is a wreck, he does not have much of a social life, and his no. 1 job is as a muscle man for a loan shark. But, when heavyweight champion of the world Apollo Creed has his opponent for "The Bicentennial Fight" injured in training, he decides to give an unknown fighter a chance. Rocky's nickname,"The Italian Stallion" catches Creed's eye. From here on in, the film is fantastic. The acting is outstanding, especially by Brgess Meredith, who plays Mickey, Rocky's trainer. A fantastic story, great music, good romance between Rocky and Adrian(Talia Shire), great antics from Paulie(Burt Young),Adrian's brother, and, of course, the great training montage highlight the movie. The fight scenes are also amazing. Rocky is simply and plainly a great movie. Th sequels are ok, but nothng beats the original. If you have'nt seen it, SEE IT.

Summary: 'Lot of creeps out tonight, you can always tell a creep'
Review: Rocky is one of the greatest movies ever made. Rocky is the story of a not-so-bright boxer who does what he has to do to get by. This is in to loansharking and hitting on pet shop employees. At the start he gets no respect. Then things start happening for the big goof. If you want to be cool, quote this movie. The best quote would be 'You want to dance pay the man, you want a ball pay the man. Give me some money.' This movie will give you hope and pump you up. If you want to stay fresh on the scene go home and memorize Rocky.

Summary: If you haven't seen it, do.
Review: What can I say? It's Rocky. Plain and simple and wonderful. I won't go over the plot; that's been done in all the other reviews. I will only say that this is a classic underdog movie that, if nothing else, will make you want to go run a few laps around Philadelphia. If you haven't seen it, see it. You'll love it, I promise.

Summary: Rocky
Review: This the best movie ever in my opinion. It is about a club boxer from the slums of Philly in 1976. The boxer Rocky, is a high school drop out going nowhere. The heavyweight champion, Apollo Creed is going to fight in Philly to celebrate the Bicentenial anniversary of the US. When his opponent drops out of the fight, Apollo decides to fight a local nobody. Because of his nickname, The Italian Stalion, Rocky is chosen. When he finds out Rocky starts a brutal training program. In the end Rocky fights Apollo to the end, and he loses narowly by decision.
