Summary: I'd rent Slingblade instead...
Review: Hmmm....Me thinks a bit trite. Indeed, a "quaint" little indie that won a couple of non-descript awards (see the website for goodgirl films).If you really must see Southern agnst don't rent this, it's overstylized version of poverty era secrecy lends itself to the almost surreal quaility of GWTW. I'd stick w/Slingblade, though the it seems an odd connection to the Clintons is eerie. (Please the #of Clintons who worked on this is scary, though I believe there are some family connections in there). Rent it for a one night stand. While you're @ it, rent a trailer home, a hound dog, a few Billy Ray Cyrus CD's, & buy a case of Bush beer. While you may not need all these items, the beer is a must for this...item. S.T.

Review: This is a wonderful independent film. A very refreshing addition to independent films being made today. This is a great interpretation of life during the Depression in the Southern U.S. This film is for those who enjoy the art of intellectual filmmaking. Bravo to the film. Highly recommended.
