Review: GREAT SOUNDTRACK. I found this to be a very interesting movie about Germany's ban on music, that was popular amongst it's youth, by non-white performers. More interesting was the fact that record store owners came up with a clever way to get the sought after music to the kids by mis-labeling them. I liked the comradery of the group and there dedication to their music they loved and their friends they shared their secret with. It was funny, sad, enlightening and very entertaining. I am so sad I missed out on the original release of the video because now I can't buy it.

Review: Swing Kids is a beautifully master- minded movie about the HJ movement in germany. It follows th lives of a group of frineds and captures the emotions of love, hate and pity. Set to "swing" music, it's both entertaining and educational. The acting is superb. There's many familiar faces including Noah Wylie. Worth the money and time!

Review: When i first saw this movie three years ago, when i was in eighth grade, i fell in love with it. I cried and i laughed and it was all around emotionally satisfying. I have looked everywhere for this video, i beg you, please, re-release it, i wish i had it so i could watch it every day!

Review: Oh I loved this movie. I cry everytime his brother starts yelling, "SWING HEIL!". It was so well written and the change was great when Thomas started to change into a real Nazi. The swing music was great. i almost wanted to jump up and dance along with it. This movie has definetely got me into swing. I was a beautiful movie!

Summary: SWING KIDS MAKES ITS MESSAGE CLEAR.
Review: Yes, it tries a bit too hard at times, and it explains itself a little too often for film connoisseurs, but basically, this picture works. More elaborate/stylized dancing sequences would have been too big a stretch of reality. They are colorful and polished enough as is. The horrors of Nazism are portrayed deftly, with a feeling of inexorable dread, as events escalate. The actors are a superb ensemble, who are able, in their sincerity, to pull off even a rather obvious plot device such as a key letter which is revealed prior to the climax. Beautifully photographed, technically glossy, but with a true heart, this movie gets its message across with clarity and feeling. Teenagers relate especially well with this film, if they are given a bit of historical/musical background first. They get the point. Hate, and the evils of Fascism are not trivialized in any way. After all, by the time "THEY" come to take even your music away, they've already taken everything else--except your soul. THAT is YOUR choice. That very severe human choice, forced upon the German people by their own government, is at the pulsing, vibrant heart of "Swing Kids". And ultimately, in spite of a few easy-to-overlook "zits", it is this heart that matters.

Review: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE re-release this excellent film..I love the music, the dancing, the actors, and all the emotion it brought while I viewed it. This is truly a great film and its a shame that it's not out to buy..anyone who loved this movie please write a review asking for it to be re-released (who knows maybe if enough people ask they will re-release it..its defintely worth a shot!)

Review: It is difficult to imagine how anyone could see this movie and give it even one star, of no stars were an option. The script is a mess. The acting is sophomoric. The swing dancing is inept, to anyone who has ever seen swing dancing for real. The message seems to be that Hitler would have been OK if he'd just let those kids dance. It was pure punishment to sit through this mess, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with any love for the movies or any understanding of the Nazi era.

Review: Tragic. Beautiful. What more can describe this movie. It is not just a film about kids who like to dance, it is much more. It is a never-dying salute to insubordination and civil disobedience. Like Shakespear, it was set in one time frame, but can be applied to any time frame whatsoever. I am writing this almost as a plea! Please! Rerelease this video to the public. I own more than a hundred films, and I would trade them all to see this one back on the shelves. Never give up. Review: This movie totally embraced the idea that our environment forms who we are. The acting was superb and wonderfully cast. The characters were believeable and kept the viewer enthralled until the end. SWING HEIL!
