Ever After - A Cinderella Story

Summary: A much more believable love story than Titanic's duo
Review: I really enjoyed the female lead role as she had intelligence, integrity, confidence, and humanity. In comparing it to Titanic's similar pairing, a couple from two different social levels, I could buy into Ever After's romance. Where Titanic's couple laid eyes on each other, did a jig, and somehow knew they would be lifelong companions and lovers, Ever After formed a relationship between two clear and strong personalities. I much prefer that. Angelica Huston couldn't have played her character better.

Review: One of my favorite movies is now Ever After! Instead of this one seeming like a kid's movie, anyone can enjoy this. The characters and story are astonishingly believable! This movie has it all. Action, romance, comedy & drama. I love the way Drew Barrymore kicks butt in this film!

Review: I was never a Drew Barrymore fan. But after watching this film, I've had a change of heart. This was such a sweet story. Just like a real-live fairytale. The actors/actresses in this movie were spectacular. Angelica was perfect as the step-mother. Her facial expressionsand manner of speech were on target each time. The prince was very charming, and handsome, too. I will watch this film over and over again. The best part of this film, though, is the fact that, in this day and age, there was no scene in that movie that my three children could not have watched. No one took off their clothes, I didn't hear any swear words, no four-letter words, no racial slurs. Also, the message came across so clearly and sweetly--do not judge others through outward appearances, and whether you are a king or servant, love and care for all people.

Summary: "Ever After, A Cinderella Story"
Review: This is one of the best films that I have watched in a long time. Jack and Rose's " Titanic" romance didn't even come close. Drew Barrymore potrayed a true and spunky heroine as Danielle in this movie. It should still be rated PG-13 because of the adult issues in this movie that children will not yet understand until they are older. I recommend that almost everyone should watch this.

Summary: A movie that my 12-year-old daughter and I both loved!
Review: This movie is a charming version of the well known Cinderella story. My daughter watched it alone and then asked me watch it with her. I thought it was a kid's movie and so I half-heartedly watched while I did some typing. After a few minutes, I left my work as I was totally enchanted by the story. The cast was excellent, especially Barrymore and Huston. The location and the scenery were fabulous, so much so that my daughter and I are now planning a vacation to France! I plan to purchase the video - and that says a lot because I rent lots of movies but purchase very few. It is definitely a "chick flick", so romantic.

Summary: Absolutely, a very enjoyable movie for all ages.
Review: This movie was not what I had expected. I was expecting this version of the story to be somewhat predictable and mundane. However I was surprised at how much I found myself get into the movie. Even though I guess I generally knew the outcome of the story would be a 'and they lived happily ever after', I still found myself really getting into it, the feeling of anticipation that children feel at full force when watching/reading fairytale type things was brought back to me mildly (age 20). The inqusitive mind of a realist(my father) who can never be bothered watching all of a movie stayed up and watched the whole thing. So you can see the strong affects of this movie. Anyway, a must see for those who want to experience the cinderella story unspoilt.

Review: I found "Ever After-Cinderella Story" fun and entertaining. It took an old favorite fable and added a new twist. One without any magic. A must for the romantic. This is one for the home video library.

Review: This movie is a wonderful version of how the Cinderella story was "real". Although seeing it on a big screen is preferable, the video version is much woth owning - so you can watch it over...and over...and over...and over...get the picture ? Everything about this movie is superb. All the actors are brilliant and Houston is absolutely fabulous in her role. As a huge lover of fairytales - I must say that I was very far from being dissapointed with this version - it is lovely, romantic, funny, dramatic, exciting and entertaining. I recommend this one for everyone !
