Review: Wow!!!I absolutely loved this film!Everything in it was beautiful: the scenery of medieval France with its lovely castles and rolling hillsides, a marvelous cast who couldn't have been picked any better, a completely engaging story that I can't even remember all the way through after seeing it (which makes me want see it again), great humor, and perfect romance. All I had to say after laughing until I cried, and crying until I laughed, along with being totally captivated by the medieval culture that was so accurate (The courtier's clothes rocked!)and awwwing over the stunning conclusion was, "Cinderella is not a fairytale. It must've happened this way!!!" The best film I've seen since it came out last year by far!!! Just be sure to see it with a females-only crowd for maximum effect. :)

Review: Although I usually don't like Drew Barrimore since I don't find her believable in roles, I absolutely love her in this one. It's a great take on the Cinderella story. Original, yet true to the spirit of the story. And consistent. She plays a strong character from the beginning and never turns into a pathetic sap in the end which is a tendency with many such movies. All the actors were chosen perfectly for their roles, and the dialogues were great. I highly recommend this for any children of any age, and all of us adults who are romantics at heart.

Review: I love romantic comedies, they're the greatest. This is a really good one to get and I personally don't know anyone who doesn't like it . It's up there with While You Were Sleeping and Never Been Kissed. Drew Barrymore is really good in this movie too, showing what really might have happened and not all that Fairy Godmother Stuff.

Review: This is an all around great film. I saw it in the theatre and loved it so much I bought the video and have seen it a number of times - and look forward to watching it again! Drew Barrymore proves herself again as a truly talented actress and this is my favorite performance of hers to date. In the role of Danielle she sparkles with wit, humor, intelligence and beauty. Dougray Scott and the rest of the cast are excellent as well. The scenery is stunning, and the story is engaging and entertaining. Danielle is, indeed, a Cinderella for our time. She is strong, idealistic, spirited, determined and fun. This is a magical movie, see it!

Review: I fell in love with this movie! I have seen it more times than I can count, and the magic still endures. The cast was perfect, and the chemistry between the prince and Danielle was so touching you could feel their emotions. The dialogue had a lot of intelligence to it, and it was absolutely refreshing to see such a wonderful romance without all the sex and vulagarity. A must buy to watch with that special someone!
