Summary: Not bad...if you like blood, and gore
Review: OK, like anyone else I enjoy a good ganster movie...but why ALL the gore, blood and violence? I think "martin" over did it just a bit. It was a little too much for my to stomache. But all-in- all it was a well done film with GREAT DIALOGE.

Summary: Goodfellas-A modern day masterpiece, of film.
Review: Director Martin Scorsese, has created a movie, of such magnitude, and brilliance, that world can't come close to describing this film. Ray Liotta, plays, real life gangster Henry Hill, a young half Irish, half Sicilian, who dream's of becoming a ganster,(Being a gangster is better than being President of the United States). Robert Deniro play Jimmy(The Gent)Conway, Henry's best friend and fellow hood. Joe Pesci,(Academy Award winner, best supporting actor) play a Tommy Desimone a psycho gangster with a short fuse, and an itchy trigger finger. Definitely, the best mob movie ever made, and quite possibly the best movie ever made.

Summary: Get this masterpiece out but don't be nervous
Review: Brilliant. Best movie of all time, right up there with 1st blood. Characters are awesome, especially Batts, real Sleazeball. Couple of fren's o' mine, real stand up guys, Pentony and Beirne, threatened me telling me i had to see this film. WOoooooaaaahhhh WOoooooaaaahhhh WOoooooaaaahhhh That was my reaction to the scenes with Batts and Spider. Henry Hill, played by Liotta is teriffic. Pesci plays the nutcase TommyD to perfection, and De Niro is class as always, but the real star of the film is Batts, what a scene! Rgds, Stacks from Greystones, Ireland

Review: This was the first DVD I ever bought and it's the one I've seen the most as well. Goodfellas is truly the best gangster movie ever made. Robert de Niro is truly brilliant in it. Get this movie, you will not regret it...

Summary: One of the best mob movies of all time!!!
Review: It doesn't really matter what I say, cause everyone who has seen this movie has fallen madly in love with it, but it ROCKS! Robert DeNiro is one funny dude. This isn't a comedy, but I just laugh at how he simplifies sentences into one words and he gets all ferocious with everybody!!! People are always comparing this movie to the Godfather. Well, let me lay it down on the line for everybody. The Godfather is an artsy look at the power that can affect members of the mafia. It's about family and the realities of the American way. GoodFellas is a movie about how harsh the mob really is and how insencere they can be. They might sound like the same things, but trust me. They're not. One more thing. Why do people give these movies bad reviews just because of bad DVD transfers? That's not fair. Don't blame it on a great movie just because those happy people down at Warner Bros. don't know what they're doing!

Review: This film is one of the best films this century along with Taxi Driver and Casino. If there were a 100 star rating I would give it 200 stars. get this movie now. De Niro and Pesci are the greatest duo of all time, there vulgar language, and extreme violence just makes you laugh and love them more! get this movie now!

Summary: Great movie, Hate flipping disc 1/2way through
Review: Warner should re-issue this disc with dual layer and clean up some graininess in most low-light scenes. They must not have used masters to make the DVD -- there is a scene (when Pauly and Vincent come to Henry's hideout to tell him to go back to his wife) where a huge line goes right down the middle of the screen. It is the best ganster movie ever made, to re-quote Ebert, but Warner's DVD implementation needs revisiting....

Summary: Scorsese is a genius!
Review: Goodfellas is to gangster movies as Saving Private Ryan is to war movies. Private Ryan broke the rules of cinema and showed you what war is really like. Goodfellas does the same, it shows you that the Mafia are really nasty and have bad attitudes and that they can do whatever they want without (except the police) anyone interfering. I would like to thank Martin Scorsese for making the greatest gangster film in the world! It has everything a true gangster movie needs to make it great.

Summary: Garbage!
Review: I cannot fathom why Warner made this DVD a single layer. The days of having to get up and flip the laser disc are over. I cringed when I saw "Side A" "Side B" on the DVD. I still may return it. That and there is next to nothing extra with the DVD. No commentary, no deleted scenes, no documentary. Garbage.
