Summary: The best thriller of the 90s
Review: Dark, yet it kicks @$$. Reminescent of 8mm. The killer was one sick dude, and Kevin Spacey's excellent portrayal of John Doe is still horrifying to this day. I liked how David Fincher directed this police thriller without a stream of excessive violence. The violence is just at the right level and the films dark style is totally cool. The best dark thriller since 1990's Silence of the Lambs. Get it!!!

Summary: GREAT MOVIE DVD IS LACKING
Review: This film, one of the best of the serial killer genre, the latest being the superb 8mm. Seven cries out for the director's commentary on the DVD. Still, well worth purchasimg.

Brad Pitt is surprisingly good; of course Kevin Spacey is always so great. I am also a Morgan Freeman fan, so where could I go wrong?

Summary: A great dark and immersing experience
Review: This is the BEST movie of the 90's. For once an american movie without a happy Disney ending!! The script is diffrent and interesting. A must see for anyone with a brain and the ability to think.

Summary: To The Reviewer From Seattle...
Review: Amazon may not accept returns, but Suncoast Video will, no questions asked.

Summary: Sorry, Folks
Review: I saw through this film immediately. I knew what was going to happen, and how it would end. Anyone with enough sense to consider which of the deadly sins haven't yet been enacted will be two steps ahead of this tedious, overly self-conscious movie.

Summary: It's Not Hip to Flip
Review: I love this movie, but I was dismayed when halfway through the film it just stopped. Then I realized that the movie is recorded on two sides like an old-school laserdisc. I had hoped that the DVD format would eliminate this unecessary break in the viewing experience. I had to get up and flip the disc. Very annoying. If Amazon's return policy allowed me to return opened DVDs I would.

Summary: No redeemimg value!?!
Review: The redeeming value in Se7en is the fact that there are still movies out their that you cannot predict. Who honestly would have thought that John Doe (Se7en's Resident Evil) would win! When I first watched the film I found myself sreaming at the screen. WHAT'S IN THE BOX! Another thing is the fact that we see no violence, only the result. Even then we only see glimpses. David Fincher is a great new talent. And when later in life people ask me about the best film of the 90's, I'll say Se7en.

Summary: Terminology; Spacey's the man
Review: There's some dark s--- in here, yes, but there's techincally not any violence. There are a few gunshots, but none of it gruesome, as the reviews here would lead you to believe. It does have gruesome footage of corpses after violence, but there's not really much actual violence here. Just thought I'd clear that up. Oh yah, Kevin Spacey's the best actor around

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A must see for a Spacey fan
Review: Until the killer John Doe appears, this movie is not that intense. Kevin Spacey is very charismatic in this role. One of the best characters he played.
