Review: I ENJOYED WATCHING THIS RECENT RELEASE OF ROMEO AND JULIET...I AM A FAN OF THE ORIGINAL WRITE BY SHAKESPEARE, AND OF THE 1968 VERSION THAT STARRED LEONARD WHITTING AND OLIVIA HUSSEY. I ENJOYED THE LEONARDO DECAPRIO AND CLAIRE DANES VERSION, BECAUSE IT GIVES YOUNGER VIEWERS THE WORDS THROUGH THE LIPS OF MODERN DAY ACTORS...MANY STUDENTS THAT ARE IN HIGH SCHOOL, AND REVIEWING THIS PLAY, WILL GET MORE OUT OF THIS PRODUCTION, THAN TRYING IN VAIN TO RELATE TO ARCHAIC PRESENTATIONS OF THIS TIMELESS CLASSIC. THE EMOTIONS DISPLAYED ON SCREEN, DO MORE TO GET THE POINT ACROSS, AND THE SCREENPLAY ITSELF IS A WONDERFUL MIX OF OLD AND NEW....IT IS VIBRANT, AND KEEPS AUDIENCE ATTENTION. Review: I have seen this movie a lot and it gets better each time. The soundtrack is great and the special effects rock. Claire Danes looks so sexy as Juliet. Leo is good as well, but I wish it was me kissing Claire instead of him. The ending actually made me cry (a rarity.) I highly recommend you buy it. END

Review: I really enjoyed this movie. It was on HBO last night and watched it for the 16th time or more. I am soooooooo in love with the movie, book, and even more in love with Leo. He is a great actor as well as the sexiest! I think Claire Danes was a good Juliet. She was fit for the part. Titanic was also a great movie. Leonardo and Claire Danes are also great as Romeo and Juliet. This movie is great entertainment for those young people who want to know Shakespeare's stories. END

Review: We studied Romeo and Juliet for our SAT exams this year and this new version realy helped alot of the people. I absolutly love Leo and Claire Danes was as brill in this as in 'My So called Life.' This was an absolutely excelent adaption of shakespere and the acting was great. The soudtracks are both excelent too! I own this video and I watch it every day. I just love it! All the actors were all brilliantly suited to thier roles and that made it even better. Great acting by Claire and Leo etc, singing by Des'ree and writing by Shakespere in the first place! A great team! It's almost as good as 'Titanic'! END

Review: This was one of the best movies that I've ever seen. I have often read Shakespeare before, but never been able to relate to any of the characters before. Claire's and Leo's performances really made the story come alive. You can feel the pain, sadness and shame Romeo feels when he kills Tybalt, but also the love that the ill-fated two have for each other. And even if you don't want to see the movie because it's good, an irresistible reason is that LEO IS THE BOMB!!!!!! HE'S SO SEXY YOU COULD JUST DIE!!!!!!!!! Besides, he's a very fine actor... END

Review: I thought that the movie was heart breaking.Leo in the movie played a great part.I like the book also because of the same reason.Leo is so FINE!I loved the ending of the movie where he drinks the posion and then he dies and she shots herself just for him.I can't belive that they went out and she was one of Leo's leading ladies.
