Review: A very nice enjoyable movie with young Brooke Shields when she very first started acting besides Endless Love this is a good film it is about a young woman and a young man getting stranded on an island and having to stay there for a couple of years and they learn to stick it out and they learn how to survive and adapt on the island this is good film I would reccommend anyone who likes Brooke Shields to buy this video I am not a big fan of hers but this is a great movie and I really did enjoy it!!!!

Summary: DVD explains a lot
Review: For all those questioning how they could use a 15 year old Brooke Sheilds in nude scenes or those scenes showing more intimate moments, the commentary and other extras on the DVD make it clear that body doubles were used for BOTH Christopher Atkins and Brooke Sheilds. In fact on the commentary track, the director points out exactly when the doubles are used.Is "Blue Lagoon" a great film, no. Is it enjoyable, yes and it is certainly a beautifully filmed movie. For those that complain about any nudity, they are probably those who want to put pants on Donald Duck and think Michaelagelo painted dirty pictures on the ceiling of the Sistine Chaple.

Summary: The Blue Lagoon is a fantastic movie!
Review: When my wife and I first saw The Blue Lagoon we both agreed that it was a fascinating movie of two young children stranded on a deserted island with no one to help them survive, but themselves after their grandfather died. As they grew they learned to love and respect each other, to work together to survive. One of their greatest pleasures was swimming, and because they didn't have the luxury of having bathing suites they swim nude. As they matured towards adulthood they discovered that their bodies were changing and eventualy innocently discovered what sex is between a male and a female. The most moving part to us was that they didn't understand she was pregnant but successfully gave birth to a healthy son that they both deeply loved. Instead of being based on sex, as some say it is, the story is really based on having to learn to survive, on love and respect for each other.

Summary: Bautiful Stars distract from potentially Beautiful Film
Review: This film has an interesting premise, but then focuses mainly on the sexuality of the two young leads. When two children are the only survivors of a shipwreck, they are able to go on with life, living by their wits and the abundant resources on the island they call home. Natures beauty and the simplicity of life is stunning. The sad truth about "The Blue Lagoon" is, that when these "kids" become mature teenagers, though completely "innocent", they act out sexually, even create a child. The parenthood in itself is still beautiful, however these plot elements are exploited. Millions of people went to see this movie at theaters on the rumors that "Brooke & Chris have nude scenes!". The nudity is brief and not worth the ticket price. The idea for a beautiful film was there, but someone ruined the blue prints and the result was "Blue Lagoon". The target audience is clearly youngsters who legally couldn't even see this film at a theater.**

Summary: There's nothing more beautiful than Nature itself.
Review: There couldn't be a more beautiful movie than this one. It completely shows the way of human nature. When discussing philosophy and how some things work in this world, I refer to this movie so much. What is so true about the movie is that everything that happens in it is natural, innocent, and pure. Some might disagree with the content of the movie, well if someone can't handle nudity, they shouldn't be watching it.(that includes children) If you feel that it is appropriate for a child then let them see it. I first saw this movie at the age of 12 and thought it was a touching story. Some people might say that it's a dirty movie with it's sex scenes, but the beauty of the movie is that it was a natural experience where they weren't having sex to "do it", but because they loved each other, and that's more beautiful than anything.

Review: Blue Lagoon is one of the best movies i have ever seen! I love it sooo much! I cant believe I hadnt even heard of it, I only saw it because I just happened to be watching the channel it was on, otherwise I would have never seen it. This movie is amazing and it really should be more well known. I think everybody should see this movie so I can have someone to talk about it with because not many people have even heard of it! :)

In this third remake of this archetypal fantasy, a nearly naked, pubescent Brooke Shields became an international star. Alas, not so for Christopger Atkins.

Review: I saw the movie aired on the superstation and I absolutly
loved it.I rented it and watched it 4 more times.The movie is
about 2 children that get shipwrecked near an island.Time goes by
and they jump ahead 10 or 12 years when they are arond 20.(by the way the children made the island there home)The two are always fighting but soon they fall in love without knowing it.They have a baby and stay on the island for about 2 years with the baby.
One day they are in there little boat and they loose the paddles
theyre stranded in the boat for many days.I wont tell the ending.

Summary: A true romance
Review: This movie is amazing. I don't really understand how people can be so outraged about the nudity in the film. First of all, they were stranded on a tropical island, and therefore, didn't have much clothing. I thought it adapted quite well to the plot.
I can't begin to describe this amazing film in words. All i can say is it is a must-be-seen movie. Although i wouldn't reccomend young children to see it, even though it would probably fly over their heads.
Trust me on this, The Blue Lagoon is one of the best american classics of our time. You just need to see it to believe it!
