Summary: Nice
Review: Really nice movie. Based on the ship Titanic, they added Rose and Jack in. What the hell, I'm just 12. Anyway, I really enjoyed watching the movie. It was so breathtaking, so touching, so sad when Jack died. That's what makes a movie: Romance, sadness and action is one of the combinations

Summary: The worst movie ever made
Review: They spent two hundred million on the effects, you'd think they could have spent a couple of bucks on a plot. The dialogue and storyline were written for pre-pubecent girls. The three plus hours seemed like three years. I was thinking how great the movie could have been if DiCaprio would have pushed Winslett in the water at the beginning, or maybe if Winslett had slipped with the axe and severed Leo's skull. The gall of turning such a horrible tragedy into a ridiculous love story. Cameron should be ashamed of himself.

Summary: The most overrated movie of all time
Review: It was torture to sit through. I was praying to God that a fire would break out so I could get my girlfriend to leave with me.

Summary: garbage
Review: There wasn't one likeable character in the whole movie. If maybe Leo had only let her jump in at the beginning of the movie it would have been a little more tolerable. I remember thinking when are they going to hit the damn iceberg anyway? What I found most unrealistic was that Billy Zanes character would waste his time chasing that miserable brat around the ship.

Summary: Cheesy love story but still....
Review: the love story may be cheesy, but why did we all go back weekend after weekend to make this the top grossing film all-time? something about it made us go back again and again. we can't deny the fact that this film was actually quite good, even though many brush it off as some ... teen romance on a sinking ship.

Summary: AWESOME
Review: This movie really worked for me in a big way. It's one of the few movies that I have seen where I was thinking about it for days after I saw it. I have seen it several times since, and it still rocks the house everytime. Thanks Mr. Cameron, for making a movie that really touched my soul.

Summary: GREAT MOVIE!!! But where are the extras?
Review: Let me start off by saying this, Titanic is a WONDERFUL MOVIE! It is one of those very few movies that I can watch, over and over again, and never get board. The sinking scenes make you feel as though you are there. The chemistry between the two characters (Jack and Rose) is breath-taking. But, my question is, where on earth are the extras??? The reason I give this DVD a three, is because of the MAJOR LACK of extras. This movie was named "The Most Popular Movie Of All Time." Or so the back cover of the moive says. So why aren't there any deleted scenes? Where is the "My Heart Will Go On" music video by Celine Dion? Where is the blooper real? Can we ask for some interviews with the cast and crew? Or maybe some Behind The Scenes Footage? How about a director's commentary? The ONLY extra on this DVD, is the theartical trailer. Not very impressive for the movie that grossed the most money at the box office in histroy.

Summary: You Have To Know The Facts
Review: ...there was NO WIND at all that night, not even a hint of a breeze. You have to have wind to have "wind chill." Survivors have commented how the ocean was still as a pond, no moon, the water black. There were survivors who managed to get out of the water and crawl up on over-turned lifeboats.

Also, I have heard over and over about the bad dialogue in this movie. Some of the dialogue is based on actual reports of what was said on this ship. For example: Mr. Gugenheim (sp?) rebuffs the life jacket offered him by saying "No thank you, we are dressed in our best and are prepared to go down like gentlemen. Bad dialogue you say? Well it was reported by eye witnesses/survivors that Mr. Gugenheim actually did say that before he went down with the ship. Some people today cannot conceive of a time when people actually had enough class to get dressed in their best tuxedo to face their own death.

This movie tells the actual, factual Titanic voyage and sinking. If you watch the older movie "A Night To Remember," you will see alot of the same things because these things really happened. The only thing fictional are the central fictitious characters, Rose, Jack, etc., and I do have some criticism of Rose's character especially. A girl of her social standing, who acted and talked like she did, smoking, swearing, threatening to jump from the ship, posing nude for a picture, probably would have been committed to an insane asylum in 1912. There was way too much profanity especially at the beginning of this movie. It was like being assaulted.

Read up on the Titanic disaster before you pass judgment on this movie. If you can get past the profanity at the beginning, and know that Rose is really a fictitious character out of James Cameron's imagination, you are watching a true story about a luxury ship that sank on its maiden (first) voyage across the Atlantic, a ship about which someone at that time supposedly quipped, "God himself couldn't sink."

One last thing, remember the guy dressed in white who rode the ship down on the railing of the stern with Rose and Jack? He was either a cook or baker, and he supposedly got stinking drunk, and survived through the night to be rescued. If you know the little details of the Titanic disaster, this movie will be much more interesting to you.

Summary: Titanic
Review: Titanic (1997) is a 20th century masterpiece. Other than Apollo 13 and Platoon, no other film even comes close. I don't waste my time going to the movies, but I did see Titanic 5 times in the theater. This is one of life's most tragic moments in engineering history. Forget the fictitious love story and bashing of the rich in this film. The accurate special effects and reality of this true story makes it deserving of 11 Academy Awards, with haunting music and an overwhelming ending. Hollywood finally got something right. I highly recommend the widescreen version to capture every detail in the frightful sinking of this real life monster.

Summary: Titanic - Floating with Intensity
Review: This three hour movie is excellent!!! In the first hour and a half it really protrayed the characters that were on the the boat in 1912. And the second part, great effects, great stunts and very INTENSe!!! This movie is two thumbs way up!
