Summary: A romantic thriller
Review: It was very suspenceful and romantic

Summary: Terribly Overated
Review: First, I just want to make it clear that how I feel about this movie has nothing to do with the actual events. Any sadness i felt was based upon the reality of what happened, not any genius on the part of Cameron. The romantic "subplot" was completely without merit, and the acting of the two leads was painful to watch. Had the movie focused on the more interesting (and I believe real person) Molly Brown well-played by Kathy Bates, the movie would have been excellent. Instead, I was forced to endure the contrived romance between two completely fake characters. Whether it was the script or the acting, I did not feel that Jack and Rose were the least bit believable. If you want tragedy, watch a documentary and if you want romance you are better off with The Wedding Singer (now that's romance)

Summary: Visually stunning but...
Review: Visually, this movie was an absolute stunner. The effects were marvelous - the little directorial touches, such as Victor Garber adjusting the clock on the stairs as the room falls apart around him, or the captain standing on the silent bridge when the water suddenly gushes through.

I had problems with the story, though. The character of Jack, though beautifully played by Leonardo DiCaprio, was not a REAL character - he was more like an angel sent down from heaven whose sole purpose it was to show Rose the way to redemption.

One of the MOST affecting scenes was Jack in the water, knowing he was going to die from cardiac arrest any moment - Leonardo played it so that you could actually see the icy sea sucking the life out of him.

Jack was the perfect lover - great for a fantasy. He was smart, savvy, romantic - but in real life he would have been crude and filthy and malodorous. But beautiful performances all around.

Summary: Watch it once, then burn it.
Review: This movie has NO stamina. The first time I saw it, I cried. I went to see it again, and I hated it. If you've never seen it, watch it once. But after that, be prepared to die of boredom. THe first time it's a sad romance. The second time it's three hours of waiting for a ship to sink. Sure, the special effects were magnificant, but the plot was more than a little lacking. Any movie is decent or good the first time. A great movie is one you can watch eack time and love it even more. "Titanic" is a one time fling.

Summary: This is extraordinary
Review: I have Titanic, and I saw it eight times so far. I also have the book and the audio tape. When I first saw it, I liked it a lot. After I saw it more, it became my favorite movie. When I watched the Academy Awards, I did not understand why Titanic did not receive any acting awards. After seeing "As Good as it Gets," I thought Helen Hunt did a great job. Also this movie brings the horific night of April14,1912 to life. It really is an outstaniding movie, with great special effects. You should also buy the book. Also Jame's Cameron made an excellent love story. I learned a lot from this movie about history. Also, some parts in the beginning have some humor in them. In other words I love this great, outstanding, extraordinary movie with great digital animation.

Summary: Oooh, Aaaaaaah
Review: Titanic was a wonerful movie. The acting was great (most of the time). They could have cut out the stuff(you know what I'm talking about). I saw it 6 times. Leo is a good actor and is pretty cute, but I don't know why girls make such a big deal about him. That's why have the girls went. Just to see him. But that's getting on another matter. It was a great movie. Kate Winslet was excellent. I would recommend it to people 12 and over. I know a girl who was 5 or 6 when she saw it. That's way too young. It does have some inappropriate things in it.

Review: The costumes and everything were fabulous. But, I thought most of the lines were...cheesy.

Summary: Simply the best!
Review: I don't know what so many people have against this movie. I've seen it more times than I can count and it still affects me the same way each time. Sure, there's some banal dialogue, and the acting, especially Leo's, could have been better, but so what? The movie is so powerful you hardly even notice the flaws. I think a lot of this has to do with the music. It's perfect for the movie, and it literally makes you feel like you're on the Titanic and part of the touching love story. James Cameron did a wonderful job directing. And another thing, for those people who think there's too much sex and nudity, there actually isn't that much. But I do think there's a too much profanity. Still, Titanic is, and always will be, simply the best.

Summary: Breathtaking and edge of your seat suspence!!
Review: Very interesting. I saw it thinking I wouldn't like it because I don't really care about the Titanic. Now I'm interested and I'm doing research to see if any of my relatives were on the Titanic. I would reccomend this movie to anyone I meet.
