Rating: Summary: she's just so good Review: forget ally mcbeal, don't expect calista's character to be anything like her in this movie. Jane Doe is a very moving film that left me in tears and i must say it deserves much more credit than it seems to have received. i actually had the honor of meeting calista a couple months ago but i was too flabbergasted to tell her how much i love this movie! i rented it because i love her in ally mcbeal, but she really blew me away. i never knew she was this talented. that show is a waste of her acting ability and if anyone else has ever seen her live you know what i mean. go calista! buy this movie!
Rating: Summary: i love calista flockhart Review: i just love her in anything...any movie, any soap and would be very pleased if i could meet her...she is just the kind of female i wanted to see in the movies...sweet,cute,smart,broad-minded...i could just go on and on about her and i am totally in love with her....
Rating: Summary: Yikes! Review: I love Calista Flockhart, but I bet she cringes when she looks back at this film. It was terrible! Christopher Peditto was the worst actor I have ever seen! Calista definately deserves credit for her performance, but the script was awful... and the direction was a joke! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE FILM!
Rating: Summary: Schizophrenic yet engaging drama w/ cross documentary feel. Review: I loved this movie for it's surrealistic rendering of a complex romantic relationship interspersed with vourestic glimpses into their daily lives. If you've ever stayed in a relationship that wasn't strictly good for you and wondered why this movie will answer you, though you might not like what it has to say. Peditto and Flockhart gave a realistic feel to their interaction, having a wit-rich and well-crafted script to work from, and made me feel I was looking into moments of the lives of real people. Although, I thought Horace's private-detective-like monologues were almost over the top. Fortunately, the drug addiction was not as heavy-handed an element as with other similar movies, and contributed to Flockhart's character instead of dominating it. This movie is not for the Feel-Good seakers, but must see for the intrepid heart. And of course, I'm waiting anxiously for the soundtrack release. "Why Do You Love Me" made me watch the credits 4 times.
Rating: Summary: A good movie Review: I mainly got this movie because it has a edge to it. I dint really know what to expect with this movie since I had never seen the previews for it I mainly just got it becasue the cover looked integing and it had Calista Flockhart in it and she is one of my favorites. I thought it would have this corky edge to it because Calista usually dose more corkey roles but this was of corse corkey but it also did have a major mix od drama which I think deffinitly also added something more to this movie. I say its a must rent.
Rating: Summary: What the Hell Is a "Romantic Thriller"? Review: I think "Jane Doe" is supposed to be a comedy, but I'll never really know, because it's one of the few movies I did not finish watching. Obviously, Calista Flockhart made this before her "Ally McBeal" success--at least I hope she did! I couldn't stand it.
Rating: Summary: flashes of greatness! Review: It's a shame this movie never made it to theaters. I was suprised at just how funny and moving it was. Calista Flockhart shows depth and range never seen from the "Ally McBeal" star. The writing has a ring of truth and a compelling flow. Christopher Peditto has a winning deadpan charm, and the rest of the cast are quickly but surely drawn - especially Elina Lowenshon as Jane's druggie friend. If you are a hardcore romantic, this poignant and touching love story is for you.

Rating: Summary: EXCEPTIONAL HUMAN TOUCH! Review: The movie itself stays in the realm of reality. The twist of life which shows that a person cannot be saved until they choose to save themself, often times, when it is too late. Calista Flockhart delivers a very solid and often times inspiring performance as a prostitute, the woman most men dream about but are never able to possess, even if they dared try. Endeared to a writer who sees to her soul, intent upon saving her from herself. The movie defines hope for those who look for it. The soundtrack is very good. I only hope you enjoy this film as I did. ****
Rating: Summary: Great Film Review: This is a great movie with a great cast. I was never a big Calista fan, but here she shows that she has the talent and depth of a big-league movie actress. I wish Calista would do more movies and less Alley McBeal.
