Summary: Really, REALLY good... a definite MUST SEE!
Review: I will admit that I heaved a sigh of disappointment when I saw Marie Osmond step out of the carriage. However, she quickly won me over and I loved every minute of this film after that. This story is wonderfully touching and in the end, their gifts to one another are funny but really felt. You KNOW that they are gifts from the heart. This movie really is about love at Christmastime and the actors in this version couldn't have been better chosen. They all do a great job and I would recommend this film to anyone! I plan to watch it time and again!

Summary: Marie Osmond Is Wonderful in a Turn of the Century Story
Review: Marie Osmond shot this film just after completing the film "Goin' Coconuts" with brother Donny. This film is based on the short story "Gift of the Magi" by O. Henry. Marie plays "Beth" in the film, a rich orphan who is assigned to marriage in turn of the century New York. Beautiful period costumes and superb acting make this movie a Christmas classic! Shot entirely at Osmond Studios in Orem Utah in September-October 1978 for airing in December 1978.

Summary: An oldie but a goodie
Review: My brothers and sisters and I watched this movie over and over around christmas time. We loved it. It is a great movie with good values and a heart warming ending. It is a tv made movie based on the old charming story about the girl who cuts her hair to buy the man she loves a watch chain. While at the same time, he sells his watch to buy clips for her hair. It is old and so is the quality generally but worth it if you are interested in adding a wonderful family movie to your christmas collection that is sure to be a favorite for years to come! :)

Summary: The Most Heart-warming Christmas Video
Review: The Gift of Love is my most favorite Christmas video! I watch it several times a year. It is a touching and heartwarming story of true love. I enjoy the playful and serious side of Marie Osmond and Timothy Bottoms. The two make a great duo - giving O'Henry's story, character and spice! I especially love the part when 'Marie' walks out the door with Mary to try and find Rudy - hoping it's not too late to catch him as he sets sail. To her dismay, she cannot find him - then Rudy comes to her door, finding that she has left with a "hooligan". They meet at the care center (the musicbox is playing) and they vow to love each other through thick and thin -- and plan to marry on Christmas! What a delightful movie!!!
