Summary: Here On Earth Review
Review: I loved this movie. I cried and laughed and I thought it was one of the sweetest movies I have ever seen. It would be great to see this through the eyes of a teenage girl but I saw it through the only eyes I have and that is a 40 year old mother of 2. My friends have seen it and they love it also. Stop looking for hidden messages in movies today and go and enjoy this for what it is, a modern "Love Story" with the same old feelings revisited from the 60's.

Summary: I can't believe you people like this movie.
Review: Ok, Leelee Sobieski is cute(and can act very well), and Chris Klein is a good looking guy, but that's where the very short list of virtues this movie possesses ends. First of all, Josh Hartnett(the boyfriend) was a total innocent victim. He loves his grilfriend very much, but just to have his heart shattered to pieces simply because the new guy looks good without his shirt. What is this movie trying to tell us? That it's ok to cheat on your boyfriend simply because you saw a really cute boy who flirts whith you? Second, the rich kid is arrogant, rude, and selfish. There's nothing redeemable about his character other than the fact he memorized a Robert Frost poem. Is the movie trying to tell us that if you are good looking, and memorized a poem, you can do whatever you please without caring about other's feelings? He wasn't even remorseful that he burned down her family's resturant! Not once did he say sorry, not even to her! We are supposed to like his character? The jerk gets the girl? What is this world coming to? All of you that wrote and said you loved this movie, think again carefully and ask yourself, why?

Summary: A five hanky tearjerker
Review: This film is a genuine five-hanky tearjerker that slathers on the schmaltz thick as marmalade. The story begins with a rivalry between a group of prep school boys and local townies that have a reckless car race that ends up burning down a local diner and gas station. The judge sentences the two drivers to a summer of community service rebuilding the diner. Kelley (Chris Klein) is a spoiled rich boy with attitude. Jasper (Josh Hartnett) is a local hick with a good heart and a bad temper. Needless to say, the two boys hate each other. To complicate matters, Jasper's girlfriend Samantha (Leelee Sobieski) is developing a serious case of the hots for Kelley. They begin an affair complete with dewy looks, running through fields, stolen glances and every other schmaltzy film technique ever invented.The prep/townie rivalry escalates into a love triangle with all the foreseeable showdowns and confrontations. Just when everyone is working themselves into a good lather it is discovered that Samantha is seriously ill. Pass the Kleenex. The film has some very sweet moments but the story is far too formulaic and predictable. It has the feel of a TV movie, which is not surprising since director Mark Piznarski has mostly TV projects on his resume. To his credit, the cinematography was beautiful and his choice of locations was superb. The overlook scenes were particularly lovely. Chris Klein gave an adequate performance, but was not very dynamic and a little stiff. I felt that he was much better in "American Pie" playing a more sincere character. He seems like too nice a guy to play this spoiled and arrogant rich kid. Leelee Sobieski was a good choice for Samantha. She comes across as very vulnerable and sweet. She was adept at capturing the delicate teenage balance between tentativeness and determination. I actually liked Josh Hartnett better than I did Klein. Perhaps he was better suited for his character, but he seemed a lot more believable as Jasper. This is a great chick flick. It is sentimental, romantic, endearing and sad. Guys are likely to spend most of the movie writhing in their seats. Unfortunately, it wasn't very original and suffered from too many clichés. I rated it a 6/10. Add one or two points if you like sentimental romances and another if you like a movie that makes you cry. A good film for girls' night out.

Review: I saw this movie and cried.The way she tells her dad that people live all their lives and never falls in love and then turns and says she lived hers and fell in love made me cry.I told everyone I know to watch this movie.It is one one of those truly great love stories.

Summary: Deserved the Oscar
Review: Oh my God! This was the saddest film I have EVER seen. The entire movie is just so sweet and everything and romantic that it is perfect. The cast is great, loveable, and enjoyable. But then the last 30 minutes of the film just are lip-quivering, heart-shattering moments of tear-jerking. Buy this film! IF anything, the money should be paid just to see Jessica Simpson in that hot outfit in her Music Video.

Summary: The Best Movie Ever!
Review: "Here On Earth" is a great movie today about how teens need to battle with more that just everyday things like fitting in. Sure Chris Klein's character didn't fit in but it also showed how she had to fight being sick. So it's just not your average movie where the kids don't fit in. I would recomend this movie to anyone it's great and trys to make you see there is more to life than just fitting in.

Review: After following the making of this movie and observing some of the making of it, is nice to see such a wonderful story come to life! True innocent love between two young people who accidently find each other. Nice to see there are still pleasing movies being made and so close to home.

Summary: My favorite movie
Review: "Here On Earth" is a great movie. I looked for it yesterday at the mall and the store had it on DVD but not VHS. I wasn't very happy about that. I think Leelee Sobieski is a very talented young actress and Chris Klein and Josh Hartnett are very talented young actors. I think Chris Klein is a hottie! Anyone who likes sappy chick flicks should buy or rent this movie. I am going to buy it soon.

Summary: A entertaining and wonderful teen film easily overlooked
Review: I just bought the DVD yesterday and I must say this film was overlooked at the box office. Enjoyable and very entertaining. All the three main actors were great. The best teenage movie I've seen since "The Breakfast Club", "Varsity Blues", "She's All That", and "October Sky". The girl does a magnificent job in this movie. I am also excited they included my #1 favorite music video, possibly the best video of the year, by Jessica Simpson and her boyfriend Nick Lachey of 98 Degrees.
