Rating: Summary: Plot? Who needs it! Review: Back in the mid 90's, Thursday nights were the official start of the weekend, and we would invariably start with a "group acceptable" movie and a few cocktails at someone's apartment, before invariably heading out into the night. I put "group acceptable" in parenthesis, because "acceptable" was a bit of a misnomer; the only movies that everyone agreed upon were non-plot driven flicks with semi-starlets, who, thankfully enough, were kind enough to appear sans clothing at various times during the course of the show. This movie was one of the last we saw before switching over to Antiques Roadshow (don't ask), and eventually disbanding. I decided to review this movie because now, 4 short years later, I have become fairly domesticated (as has everyone else), and drinking on Thursday's has become a fond, albeit hazy memory from the past, and I want to do my part to ensure that this great piece of cinema is not dismissed as just one more piece of exploitative, late-night HBO soft-core filler that it appears to be.
To hold this movie to the same standards as a regular movie would be a disservice to it, and I think it should be rated against other movies of its genre:
1) Nudity - 5 Stars - What can I say except for bravo. Veteran B-movie writer Karen Kelly has managed to create a plot where nude scenes seamlessly flow into each other, and actually kind of make sense. One constantly expects Ron Jeremy to make a quick cameo; the quality is that good.
2) Starlet Quality - 1 Star- At the time of this movie Jaime Pressly had only one previous acting role (playing the pre-teen American girl in Mercenary), and the excitement factor knowing she was soon to be nude was just not there. (For an example of a 5 star in this category, check out Nicole Eggert in "Blown Away", which is, possibly the greatest nude/starlet movie ever made).
3) Acting - 5 Stars - The acting.... Wooden? Terrible? Mind-Numbing? Yes! And More! I've always felt that the amount of nudity should be inversly proportional to the quality of acting. I call it the erotic neuron quotent. Think of the 10 minutes between nude scenes as a big neuron, and your attention span as the surge of electricity running its length. As you watch the fully clothed bad acting, you start to get annoyed, and begin to lose interest (as the electric charge does as it runs the length of the neuron). By minute 9 you are fumbling for the remote, and about to stop the tape, when WAM! , the new nudity recharges the battery (as does the charge as it moves to another neuron) and you are good for another 10 minutes.
Determining the final score can be tricky. One suggestion is to add the three categories up, divide by 3, and then add 1 point for every nude scene over 3. Or, if you have seen the other two installments, you could get the guys together, pour a pinot noir, and compare and contrast the merits and plotline on your own. Whatever your method, Good Luck, and Happy Viewing!
Rating: Summary: Very hot Review: Best of the Poison Ivy movies. Jaimie Pressly has a stunning body and isn't afraid to show it off. Radiates sex appeal, too.One of the better soft-core efforts.
Rating: Summary: The Best "Poison Ivy" so far. Review: Clearly the the most erotic of the "Poison Ivy"movies. Jaime Pressly who plays Violet really takes the movie toanother level. Lets not forget Athena Massey who plays her mother who is also HOT. Megan Edwards played her role well as Joy but dose not show any skin, not that she needed to she was really sexy. The DVD has both the Unrated and R-rated versions and bot fullscreen and widescreen formats, It has no other options like commentary. Buy it if you are a fan of the "Poison Ivy" movies and if you want to see how HOT is Jaime Pressly. (took off one start 'cuse there is no Commentary)

Rating: Summary: Jaime Pressly....nuff said Review: Forget the plot. Forget the storyline. The best reason to get this movie......you see Jaime Pressly NUDE!!! Not just once. Not just for a couple seconds. You see her NUDE early and often. The script isn't bad to boot which makes this a great movie...
Rating: Summary: jaime pressly as sexy dominatrix...wow! Review: Gorgeous, sexy young blonde actress Jaime Pressly plays a dominatrix who takes revenge on her enemies by seducing and killing them. She uses all the tricks - chains, handcuffs, whips, to bring her men to submission and then strikes. Great sexy concept, like Basic INstinct or Body of Evidence. If the idea of an innocent-looking luscious girl tying up, torturing and killing helpless men turns you on, watch this movie!
Rating: Summary: Greg and Jamie Review: Greg Vaughn was so hot in this movie. His facial expressions and body are great. He doesn't look too hot now on GH, bad casting for character Lucky Spencer :( Jamie is soo hot. She has a great body. In this movie you get to see Jamie and Greg nude!
Rating: Summary: DAMN! Review: I didn't give this movie five stars for Oscar-winning performances. Yes the cast does do an okay job, but Jaime Pressly's flawless body steals the show. Like I said, DAMN! So, if you're looking for a deep, thought-provoking movie look esle-where, but if you wanna see a great T&A flick this is the one.
Rating: Summary: Ahhhh Review: I love the kind of movies in which a beautiful girl with deep hidden grudges and a devious plan comes in to ruin everybody's life. And this is one of the best.
Jamie is great. Perfect for the part. I enjoyed the film's atmosphere. It is worth what I paid for it.
Rating: Summary: A sexy, fun movie Review: I was incredibly surprised by this movie. After having endured and zapped countless, boring Cinemax-like erotic thrillers, it was great to see one that is extremely sexy, intelligent, witty and fun. Jaime Pressly is absolutely stunning as the girl out to avenge her mother. Her performance is also outstanding, a great balancing act between being a teenager, a femme fatale, but all this done in a tongue in cheek way. By the way, her nude scenes are jaw dropping. The movie also has fun with itself, playing with many of the genre's clichés. All in all, a great surprise. The DVD contains the R-rated and unrated versions, as if anybody would want to see an R-rated version. It contains no extras. It would have been great to have seen behind the scenes footage and interviews with the cast and director. Still, a great buy.
