Summary: This movie still totally rocks!
Review: I can remember watching this movie when it first came out (ten years ago) and thinking that William McNamara was a total babe. When I watch the movie now, I still think he's a babe, and the movie affects me just as much as it always has. Because I was in my teens when I first saw this movie, I see it from a different perspective now that I'm older and have experienced life a little more. Excellent movie for all ages from teens through adult.

Summary: Deep
Review: I don't know why, but this movie is one of my personal favorites. I saw it way back in 1988 when it came out and liked it enough to buy the video. I didn't think it was at all sappy or glib as some of the reviews here claim. I'm not into "chick flicks" so to speak, but this movie was profoundly deep and emotional. Definitely worth a rent. Be forewarned, baseball was simply a vehicle for the story and not the foundation. Sports enthusiast and hardcore baseball fans will find little sustenance in this genre.

Summary: Going Home
Review: I first saw Stealing Home at the advice of a friend. Once I saw it, I had to see it again, Mark harmon is good and Jodie Foster is outstanding like always. The music works and the scenes at the beach are great. I really liked it and any one with a friend like Jodie and Silverman are blessed. Watch and enjoy. I did.

Summary: A good movie to watch on the weekend
Review: I really enjoy this movie and like to watch it on the weekends when nothing else is planned. This is a movie that has great actors in it such as Jodie Foster, Mark Harmon, Jonathan Silvermann and others and the scenery of the New Jersey shoreline is absolutley beautiful. I enjoy the way the movie unfolds itself, it dosen't rush things, but takes its time as Harmon who is the main character does flashbacks to his teenage years and remembers his adolesence with the girls he loved. Silvermann is great portraying his teenage friend, and I really thought the scene where he finally gets his fantasy with the older woman is hilarious.

I really like this movie and highly recommended it to all who enjoy a charming plot and good acting.

Summary: Wonderful Viewing material
Review: I remember renting this in highschool, before I moved to Europe for a year... I found a poster at the video store, generally loved the movie. 3 days ago I came across it, there was no question, I had to purchase it. Watching it now is incredible! It was a movie that always stayed with me and seeing in a more mature light, allowed me to appreciate it and cause reflection on my own life. But a question... In the final scene at the ballgame, is the guy that plays Joey from Friends sitting in the row behind Harold Ramis??

Summary: One of my faves
Review: I saw this movie years ago and have it on video. I watched it because I was and still am a huge Jodie Foster fan, I bought it not only for Jodie Foster's performance; but for the whole package. This movie had everything and the emotions the movie brought out in me, still come out everytime I watch this movie. The soundtrack was awesome and David Foster's song in the movie has me crying from the first note.

Summary: Movie that Grows with You
Review: I think I was something like 13 or 14 the first time I saw this movie and I fell in love with it. Now at 24, I've seen the movie enough times to mouth the lines and it still has guidance about love and life and never forgetting who you are. It has been and will always be my absolute favorite movie of all time. It's for old friends who never forget their bond and Mark Harmon, Jodie Foster, even cameo of, yes, ladies and gentleman, Helen Hunt as the pregnant younger sister of Mark Harmon's character. It also has great footage of Philadelphia (the Vet, riding on a SEPTA train, etc.) all things things a native (or not so as myself) would enjoy identifying with.

Not to mention, David Foster did an incredible job with the soundtrack, one of my personal favorites.

I highly reccommend the movie, it's love, life and baseball, you just can't get any better than that!

Summary: To Hell with Roger Ebert.......... this film rules!
Review: I was right. I knew I was right. Stealing Home is a wonderful film. I am a big fan of Roger Eberts, I read his reviews all the time and when he ground this fine film under his heal, I thought perhaps I was wrong, but I'm not. Sixteen good reviews (seventeen counting me) show that even a big shot like RE can be wrong sometimes and he was wrong here.
