Summary: He is Romance
Review: Although many people believe that Pitt is the star of "Legends of the Fall" I believe that the real star is Quinn. He speaks, acts, and is romance. His love for Ormond is boundless. Through the years you can see the love grow and grow within him. Although the death of her at the end is sad, it is the death of life, within Quinn, that is real sadness. This is one of the best movies I have ever seen or owned.

Review: I am, or was, a huge fan of Brad Pitt, and have pretty much watched everything that he has ever been in. I don't know what to say about this movie except WOW!!!!! Amazing, beautifully depicted, excellent cast of characters and incredibly moving. Brad Pitt is not 'trailer trash', he's very much talented and HOT! I went out and bought this movie and soon as it came out, and am never disappointed. I cry during the whole thing, it's that good. I recommend very much that you see this movie. It's definetly worth it.

Review: My co-worker hates Brad Pitt, and doesn't like the movie, but who cares? I love this movie. I cried during the movie, and for at least two hours after. My co-worker, Tammy, says that she liked the scenery. That's a start I guess. Anyways, this movie really got to me. I loved the storyline, and the actors. I'd recommend renting and\or buying the movie, as I did.

Summary: Breathtaking Cinematography, Tear-Jerking Soundtrack
Review: Call it what you wish, LEGENDS OF THE FALL is one of the great romantic dramas to be produced in the last few decades. Admittedly, the acting was on the downside of poor (Brad Pitt displayed no acting talent or charisma, Aidan Quinn was stiff and stumbling, and even the venerable Anthony Hopkins appeared uncomfortable in his role as the father). However, the exquisiteness of the overall production, from the Oscar-deserving cinematogratphy to the direction by talented Edward Zwick to the (in my opinion) Oscar-worthy soundtrack (another masterpiece by the can-do-no-wrong composer JAMES HORNER) gives it such lie as to transcend the abominable acting job and create an epic to last through the ages.

Summary: Melodramatic and Stupid
Review: The cinematography is stunning. The actors are all beautiful. And the music is not half bad. But the story is so unbelievable, apparently written with the idea that the viewer will care for these characters if enough tragedy befalls them. I still am wondering why Julia Ormond was in love with any of the brothers? We were never given any indication that they connected on a personal level. From what I could gather, her love for Brad Pitt was based solely on physical attraction and his ability to tame a wild horse. It didn't seem to bother her that she fell in love with someone who could literally cut out the heart of his brother. Nor were the attractions of Aidan Quinn and Brad Pitt for Julia Ormand more clearly developed. Presumably, Aidan Quinn loved her because she was the only woman around. And Hopkins--why did he agree to such a melodramatic and even embarrassing role?This movie is long and boring and disappointing. I have read novels by Jim Harrison, and watching this movie makes me wonder how much creative license they took with his novella. A lot, I hope, or my faith in Mr. Harrison's writing abilities will be diminished.

Summary: The best movie I ever saw
Review: Yes, I'm a guy, and I loved this movie. Seams that guys don't liked it mostly because it shows a great Brad Pitt... I see more envy in the bad comments about the film than objetivity. The film itself, regardeless of the moral of Tristan hurting his people because of his character, is great. The music is great also. The performance of every actor is great. The story is great. etc. etc... for me, simply it's a great movie. And for those that talk about Tristan's passion, that hurted so many people around... What do you prefer my friend? a painless life, doing nothing, accepting all outside rules, never taking risks, or face the life, and try to make of it something worthy?. "Passion is the fuel of big realizations"... sometimes Passion can lead to hurt other, that's true, and when you realize that, it hurts you also. Tristan suffered also. But that doesn't means he has to put a bullet in his head because other suffered as a consecuence of his actions. Life goes on, and he had to live with that. That's life. Time, meditation and patience leads to mastering passion, that's when the big things are done. In the meantime, a very passionate person can feel confused because of so hot inner fire... We have to put that person in Jail? For having such power inside?. I don't think so... And life without passion... what's life without passion?? Simply.. nothing worthy to be lived.

Review: I just loved this movie! This is a awesome direction by Edward Zwick. The great casting, wonderful acting, beautiful scenery... I can't find anything bad in it. The story is so very touching, it shows you every side of human nature. And the music was very well chosen for it. You love it or hate it, but it wakes you. The best movie I've ever seen.
