Summary: This is a wonderful, moving artful film!
Review: If you want theology, go to church. If you want a very subjective, artistic, moving portrayal of the boundless possibilities in the afterlife: here it is! The cast is superb, the effects amazing, and the story emotionally wrenching yet sincere. See this with someone you love on the biggest screen you can watch it on tonight!

Summary: Incredibly Powerful
Review: Though it seemed to start off a little fast, this movie has the power to pull the viewer inside within a few short minutes of its beginning and not let go until days after. The theme hits hard, as though the viewer is being is hit by a car. The pain and suffering can be felt through the tv screen. It was interesting to see the director's interpretation of what heaven is like. I recommend it to anyone who wants (or needs) to believe and discover what dreams may come.

Summary: A wonderful piece of art.
Review: For somebody who is not religious in any means, like me, this movie is a true peice of art. The best thing is that they were able to present heaven in a way that does not necessarily mean that there is a God--and I respect that to the fullest point. Everybody seems to be leaving out the performance by Annabella Sciorra. She was once again miraculous as in "The Cure". This movie is ultimately pleasing in a wonderul way.

Summary: One of the finest films ever made, period.
Review: This courageous and inspiring movie left me absolutely stunned. For maximum effect, you must allow yourself to be open to symbolic images of higher consciousness and spiritual meaning; if you choose to remain blind because it doesn't "fit" your particular belief system or your understanding of causality, then you are causing yourself to miss one of the greatest depictions of archetypal spiritual experience ever made in the history of cinema. This film functions on MANY levels; the more you are open to it, the more it will move and inspire you. This film -- showing the value of true love and total relationship commitment -- is a story that desperately needs to be told -- especially in our current state of political "affairs," if you know what I mean. This film is an absolutely magnificent achievement for Robin Williams!

Summary: One of the Two Best Movies I have Ever Seen
Review: If you wondering the other is Contact(1997) starring Jodie Foster, but you can read my review there if you want to know why. Besides being a Robin Williams fan, this movie was great even if he wasn't in it. The visual effects are incredible(it was nominated for two Oscars for them) and the picture it creates of the afterlife is one I have never imagined. I especially like the explanation of what happens to suicides, which if you're further interested in that or any other "theory" in this movie you can read MUCH more in detail in the book version by Robert Matheson. The movie is much different from the book, but also much better. The plot includes a lot about before he and she goes to heaven and hell. Personally, this movie has one of the greatest beginnings and endings I have ever seen.

Summary: For a Christian, this stuff is offensive, Garbage
Review: I saw the movie on an American airline flight to Vancouver form Dallas. I was not impressed. The basis for the story line/plot gave me real problems and I am not a Christian Fundamentalist.

Once the movie lost me on the setting, everything else was downhill.

Summary: Excellent story line and beautiful images
Review: This movie was heart wrenching yet inspiring. The story line was one that elicited many tears throughout the movie, yet when I left, I felt an inner strength that I have seldom felt. Robin Williams is a masterful actor, as are the rest of the cast members. The artistry is absolutely gorgeous, especially if one is fond of impressionism. I eagerly anticipate the video release so that I might again experience the wonder of "What Dreams May Come".
