Summary: Unexpectedly brilliant
Review: Playing By Heart has recently replaced Singles for me as my favorite movie. It absolutely blows me away. Just to see Sean Connery and Jon Stewart interacting with Scully (I mean Gillian Anderson's character Merideth) was worth it! Kudos to Anthony Edwards, Angelina Jolie, and Dennis Quaid as well. This movie has the uncanny ability to make you cry with sadness one moment and happiness the next. This is definitely tremendous movie-making. Oh, and the ending - you will never have seen it coming.

Review: This film was very well written, casted, directed and filmed. I truly enjoyed every minute that it showed the way real people feel about honest feelings. Any viewer can find something in the movie that reaches out and grips them. As usual, Sean Connery shines, along with a hugely talented cast. A must-see, I say.

Summary: This movie ROCKS!!
Review: Playing By Heart is an amazing movie. I won't say too much, 'cause I don't want to give away the ending, but I have a few comments that I have to make: 1. Ryan Philippe is HOT!!! The blue hair thing is a welcome change from his usual blonde (not that the blonde looks bad <g>). He really separates himself from the stereotypical teen idol who can't act image. He is a phenomenal actor. 2. A warning: Gillian Anderson's character is a lot like Scully, except she smiles once in a while :) This doens't bug me, 'cause I LOVE the X-Files, but if you aren't a fan, the similarity might be unnerving. 3. Playing By Heart is a truly terrific movie with a wonderful message about the power of love (despite how corny that sounds.)

Review: As a teenager, i suppose it's not normal for me to watch these types of movies....... but, my friends and i absoultly loved it! The script was very well written, and all of the actors and actresses (especially Gillian Anderson) did an outstanding job! A must see for anyone that needs a good laugh.

Review: This movie features clever plots, great dialogue, and wonderful characters played by equally wonderful actors. My favorite couple is Angelina Jolie and Ryan Phillipe--they are so very sweet together--but everyone is interesting and enjoyable. PS: the soundtrack is very good too.

Summary: Best Romantic Movie of the Year!
Review: It's the best of the best. The spirit of independent films is not to make something provocative or trying to make it look like "highly artistic"; it's really about to tell a story as truthful as possible. It doesn't have to be realistic; we've had enough of that in real life. I think that's the reason it makes me go back to this film over and over; it tells the story with such truth- fulness. I love it. It will always be one of my favorite films of all time.

Summary: Different in a very needed way - Love at first sight...
Review: This movie held so much emotion for me. It was done in a very real perspective and encouraged lost emotions of my own to surface. I was captivated by the screen and by the incredible preformances of the wide variety of supremely talented actors. The movie was held together for me by the truly raw relationship between Angelina Jolie and Ryan Phillipe. I cried for 800 reasons into many hours after the movie was over and I felt refreshed and alive. Extremely well done. Something that shouldn't be missed...

Review: I need to buy this movie already, I've rented it three times now (it is that good!) I have never had a movie throw my emotions on a rollercoaster like this one. It is funny and touching (and sometimes sad). All of the actors do a great job. --- ALSO, this has to be Ryan Phillipe's best acting to date (not to mention he is hot!)
