Summary: Truly Dazzling
Review: I hope to god this movie gets put on DVD. My VHS copy is starting to wear out! This movie is a classic and deserves to be on DVD!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Please rerelease this!
Review: I searched for this on DVD and was shocked to discover that it's barely available on VHS! This is a cult classic--how can it not be widely available in all formats? Studio, take note: There are a lot of 80s fans out there, and you're missing out on a huge market by not releasing this.

Summary: Story Makes a Good Point
Review: I think this movie makes a good point about what matters when it comes to finding a boyfriend. Julie, the main character, has a good-looking boyfriend, but feels the relationship is getting old. Plus, Tommy (the name of her boyfriend) is a complete jerk. Julie meets this guy named Randy at a party and immediately takes a liking to him (and vice versa). He's a Hollywood punker, he may not be a part of their group, but he's really a great guy--sensitive, caring, and above all, he loves Julie. Julie is smart enough to see past his appearance and love him for the person he is, but her shallow friends can't see beyond that. They want her to be with Tommy because he's "so good-looking". The pressure gets to Julie as she has to decide what she wants-- follow her heart or listen to her friends. Fer shure, this movie is laced withValley girl-talk, but it, like, makes the point, for sure.

Summary: I La La La Love This Movie!
Review: As a southern California girl living close to the San Fernando Valley in the early 80's, this film holds a lot of nostalgia for me.

Despite the Valley Girl cliche, this film did an excellent job capturing the era, from the cloths to the music to Nicholas Cage (got to love that V-shaped chest hair in the film!)

There are many ex-Val's that would love to get their hands on this movie! Please re-release it!

Summary: Re-Release Please!
Review: I'm 16, so I was born the same year this movie was released. Obviously I never got to enjoy it in the theaters or expierence it the first time around. But I've seen it on TV, rented millions of times, and gotten my friends hooked on it too. This movie rocks; it is so much better than the teen movies today, I mean compare "Can't Hardly Wait" to this and you'll know what I mean. I know that there are thousands of you valley girls out there waiting for this movie to be re-released, let the companies know what you want, demand to be entertained, RE-RELEASE "VALLEY GIRL"!

Summary: Fantastic Flick
Review: This is one of my favorite movies. I'm dying to buy it. I listen to the sound track almost daily for lifting my spirit, working out, or just getting things done. Nicholas Cage was so awesome in this movie. Watching Valley Girl was the first time I saw Cage and when he walked on the beach and Julie saw him for the first time I too saw him for the first time, what a great physique he has, lucky Patricia Arquette. Rent the movie, buy it and the music too. Why did they stop printing this thing anyway.

Summary: Cheesy but in a wonderful way...
Review: Back in the day, my best friend and I would have Valley Girl weekend marathons, still our favorite...

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Like, totally tubular!
Review: I just rented this movie for the first time this weekend and I watched it four times. I was a kid when this came out, but I've heard about it over the years. Since they're closing the Sherman Oaks Mall & that was where I'd heard this took place, I succumbed and decided to check it out. Yes, some of the acting is bad (Julie's Val boyfriend) and the directing was sloppy (the teacher in the purple dress was seemingly simultaneously dancing and standing by the punch bowl at the prom), but I probably noticed most of it because I watched it 4 times in 3 days.

One of the best parts was when Julie dumped her Hollywood dude and he yelled an obscenity I'm guessing Amazon.com won't let me type followed by "Like, totally fer sure" in that Valley lingo we all know and love. And Nicholas Cage was so young he was cute! Fred's Pepe Le Pew imitation in the hills was hilarious. And the end...well, you'll just have to watch it!

Please re-release this - I would buy it in a second!

PS - Why don't they use the original lead actress on the cover? She was great & it looks like the cover is newer than the movie...(legwarmers?)

Summary: not another cheesy 80's movie
Review: I rented this movie expecting it to be another dumb eighties movie full of nasty talk and nudity. Sure, Valley girl had these things, but it did not affect the plot of the story negatively. I could truthfully tellyou that I liked this movie much better than CLUELESS.

Summary: Must see for teens of the 80s
Review: If you were a teen in the 80s, this movie is a must. The music and garb is all hauntingly familiar, and that chick Julie is "truly dazzling". Cage is riotous, Foreman is obnoxiously cute. Not "one of the best pictures ever made", but it would definitely be on my island. Case in point: It is 3 am during finals week in college. 20 completely fried frat brothers and I have just finished watching Apocalypse Now on cable. Of course everyone is ready to crash but the tube room rules are that you can't leave until you see "Next on HBO". General consensis is that it really doesn't matter what is on, we're all leaving. Alas it is Valley Girl. By the end of the movie we had recruited another 15 or 20 fellows dying to see the movie again. One of the more enjoyable all-nighters of all time. A must see for anyone nostalgic about the 80s.
