Rating: Summary: Butterfly effect--here we come! Review: To any fans of chaos theory and, more specifically, the butterfly effect: this movie is for you. Small differences in initial conditions lead to drastically different outcomes. Oh, and the movie is fun, too.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Review: I saw the movie just after returning from London. It was like a mini-trip back. Having already fallen in love with Gwyneth in her earlier movies, I was ready to like this film. Even so, the plot twists and the demand to keep thinking made this movie almost as enjoyable as DEAD AGAIN. It wasn't as perfectly realized as SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE for the reasons others have stated, but I want to own this movie and expect to view it often. From the day I first saw it, I wanted to discuss it with my friends.
Rating: Summary: Interesting and thought invoking;a delight. Review: This movie is the classic example of a young woman, whose life takes an unexpected journey and mishaps in the office of love. I think this film is probably Paltrow's best onscreen performance, and deserved an Oscar. The intricate balance that is shown here, illustrates what a split second differance can make in the course of your life.
Rating: Summary: You couldn't show destiny a better way... Review: One of the best and most beautiful movies I've ever seen!!! It's full of emotions and with a great Gwyneth Paltrow...
Rating: Summary: Wonderful movie that comforts the heart and soul. Review: I thought I would hate this film going into it. Yet, I really did not have a clue what it was about. I loved it from the first twist and turn. The transitions were incredible. Finally a movie that made me want to throw things at the screen and scream out of emotional overload. It also gave great hope that evenually you will find the one, even if the road maybe a bit different than expected.
Rating: Summary: A great film than examines the consequence of chance Review: If you are looking for and interesting, refreshing new movie, this is it! Sliding Doors shows us the consequences behind the simplicity of timing and trust.
Rating: Summary: twisty!!! Review: coming into this movie, i really did not know too much about it. from reading the box, it seemed interesting and after actually seeing it, i was absolutely captivated!!!! the concept was fantastic - i think we have ALL put ourselves in a "what-if" type scenario - wondering what would have happened if we would have made a different choice in something that we did, etc or if in getting somewhere 5 minutes earlier or later, if things would have happened differently. i really loved this movie and i don't think it was hyped enough. i am not a big gwenyth fan(not even sure if her name is spelled correctly), but i really liked her in this!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Battle of the Scrawny Suitors. Review: A look at two scenarios for Helen's (Gwyneth Paltrow) life: what would have happened had she made the train, and what would have happened had she taken a cab. Paltrow must have been cursed, because both scenarios involve wimpy, talky, Woody Allen-wannabe suitors. The sleaziest characters, Gerry (John Lynch) and Lydia (Jeanne Tripplehorn) go about their business awkwardly, without any verve, and pretty much suck most of the life out of this movie. Paltrow even manages to look unappealing in the "made the train" scenario, sporting a 'do that makes her head resemble a rectangle.
Rating: Summary: Attention Grabbing and Fun Review: My friends and I are addicted to this movie. If we can't agree what movie to see, we will always agree on this one. Gweneth as a Brit is very believable and her leading man is a keeper. The what if plot keeps you looking for what will happen next. A definite thumbs up!
Rating: Summary: Really good, understandable movie Review: This is a GREAT movie. I am only 11 years old, but I could understand it. I liked how it had twists and turns, but it wasn't too confusing. And it was really funny!!Adults who are reading this, you are probably thinking, " Well Jeez! If an 11 year old girl liked it and understood it, it must be really unadvanced.I 'm not going to see it after all." Well, you're wrong! Remember, this movie has a rating of PG 13.And it is not unadvanced. I recomend that you see this movie.
