Summary: one of the best romantic comdies ever made
Review: Serendipity by far i think is one of the best Romantic comdies ever made because it's romantic and funny. The actors are great and I think the story is wonderful I thought it was one of the best Romance stories I ever heard. Also I think that this would happen in real life if you believe in fate amd destiny.

Summary: Touching story
Review: This movie is very touchy. It is funny, romantic and perfect to watch if you have a date.
Although everyone who is watching this movie ubderstands that what's happening over there is impossible, still it is very nice. It's a movie after all and it is created to let the person who is watching it forget about the normal world in which we live and to experience the whole new life where everyone lives a happy ever after.
This movie is about Sara Thomas (Kate Beckinsale) which meets a guy called Johnathan (John Cusack) while they are doind their Christmas shopping. They spend some time together but the lady believes in destiny and accidents and everything, so she decides to leave and if they ever meet again, that means they are meant to be together. The same day, they meet each other in the cafe because both of them forgot their stuff there. They spend a wonderful time together, when she writed her name and her # on the paper, it flies away, so she thinks they are not meant to be together. He writes his name and # on the 5 dollar with which she buys some stuff and she writes her name and # in the book which she's gonna sell the next day.
After a few years, Sara moves to San Francisco, she's planning to get married but before the marriage she wants to take a short vacation to New York.
Johnathan is planning to get married as well, although they never stop thinking about each other.
After some troubles, they finally meet each other. Yipee!!!!!!!

Summary: There's Such A Thing as A Happy Ending
Review: I saw "Serendipity" a couple of months ago with my best friend. Although I am a big fan of John Cusack, I thought Kate Beckisale was absolutely delighful in this movie. I've seen her in "Pearl Harbor" which she was good in but it didn't show her potential as a talented actress. I think she could be the next Audrey Hepburn, if she was given more roles like her role in "Serendipity".

This movie was one of the best I've ever seen. In fact, it's an improvement after "High Fidelity", because it showed what a wonderful and talented actor John Cusack can really be.

All, in all, I found this movie to be very charming. Also, it made me believe in happy endings which is a first for me because there was a time when I didn't believe that. Unfortunately, it seems that happy endings only happen in movies, not real life but that's how it's supposed to be.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes romantic movies. It is though a "chick flick" but that doesn't change anything about this movie.

Summary: One of the better Romantic Comedies
Review: In the realm of romantic comedies, where most films often look like carbon copies of each other, "Serendipity" stood out this year. John Cusack ("High Fidelity") and Kate Beckinsale ("Pearl Harbor") play a pair of strangers who try to find each other seven years after having one magical night together. The film is sweet and funny and features the always-good and grossly underrated Jeremy Piven as Cusack's sidekick.

Normally a film that relied on coincidence as much as this does would bother me, but since the very theme is that of fate, destiny and happy accidents, it actually works in the movie's favor. It's not a brilliant movie, but it's a lot of fun and worth catching.

Summary: Excellent
Review: Very predictable and of a similar line to movies of the same tale, however, funny and delightful. John Cusack is excellent and proves why he is one of the s=best actors around and Kate is just sexy.

A charming surprise after reading reviews that slate this film. If not seen, it is a must.

Summary: Funny, light and filled with love... a pleasure to watch!
Review: I saw this movie with two friends; my husband didn't want to come because he thought it might be too sappy. Well, it was actually not sappy at all, the characters make fun out of everything, which makes this movie really "light" and nice to see. The main characters cross each other's paths in NYC, at a mall, and then go take a coffee and ice skating together. It's not something either of them usually does with strangers, but there's something special between them, and they feel it and it makes them curious and excited. It all ends (or actually, begins!) when Sarah (Kate Backinsdale), who is a firm believer in fate, decides they are not meant to be, because the piece of paper with her phone number is blown away by the wind, while she's giving it to him. And she decides to test fate...

Years later, they are both still thinking about each other... all kinds of things happen when they decide to look for each other, not to mention the fact that they are both engaged.

A nice love comedy, really. I'll be puchasing the DVD when it comes out.

Summary: My Favorite Movie of All Time
Review: I don't usually do reviews like this but I definitely have to make an exception in the case. Serendipity has become over the last few weeks my all time favorite movie. I've seen it four times now and plan on seeing it one more time in the theaters before it leaves the theaters.

I fell in love with this movie because I'm a romantic myself. I love the story. These two people meet accidentally in the beginning of the movie. They spend some quality time together that evening and leave it up to fate to bring them back together.

They both go on with their lives and are both engaged when they start thinking about the past. They are both reminded of that great night they spent together and decide to try and find each other. With the help of their best friends, they go on a quest that is not only hilarious but really entertaining to watch.

I won't give out the ending but you can probably imagine what happens. It is a beautiful love story with comedy thrown in. Not to forget to mention the marvelous performance by Eugene Levy who plays a salesman in Bloomingdales. He is very funny.

I think everyone should see this movie. Have fun!!

Jeff

Summary: Frothy, sweet and oh so romantic!
Review: Sara and Jonathan meet in the Christmas rush at Bloomingdales. It's pretty much love at first sight and they spend a wonderful evening together, although they both already have partners, but Sara (a great believer in destiny) decides to leave it all up to fate.
She writes her name and number on a book and sells it to a second hand book shop and he writes his name and number on a 5 dollar note and if they get back to them then they're fated to be together. There follows an amazing set of coincidences and near-misses until...well...I don't want to spoil it.
Let's just say this is a very sweet, and very romantic film. It'll leave you with that wonderful, warm feeling inside.
Kate Beckinsale and John Cusack are perfect as Sara and Jonathan, respectfully and there are some solid supporting characters. The best film I've seen in a long time.
