Summary: A Walk to Remember
Review: A Walk to Remember was great! It is about a bad boy, Shane West, and Mandy Moore an unpopular girl falling in love with him. It is the cuttest movie you could ever see. There were some parts where you were crying and others where you were laughing. What I got out of this movie was never judge people by their looks. Look inside them, see who they truly are. You never know, the most popular people are usually snots, and the unpopular people are usually sweet and kind. This is a cute movie to see with you boyfriend/husband. Mandy Moore's song Cry, is just outstanding in the movie. I recomend you seeing this as soon as possible. You'll love it!!!!

Summary: A Walk To Remember
Review: A WALK TO REMEMBER...This was the best movie I have seen in a LONG time. The discussion, of love, faith, and other hard ships in a teenager's life really was excellent. Mandy Moore, really did a nice job in this movie. Shane West, was excellent. It was a great role for him. I loved the movie so much, I saw it twice in the same week, and both times I cried my heart out. I can't wait until this movie comes out on video for me to buy. I think all teens should see this movie, for it deals with teen issues, but doesn't use the vulgure language, or profanity that most movies do. I REALLY reccomend this movie.

Summary: You'll remember this for a long time
Review: A Walk to Remember is an absolutely incredible movie! The acting of Mandy Moore and Shane West is phenomenal!

The story of the popular bad boy (played by West) and the shy, unpopular girl falling in love is absolutely extraordinary! Mr. Sparks wrote a dynamic love story and the casting director did a fabulous job picking the actors for this movie.

I was afraid the movie would be bad, but it wasn't. It was beautiful, sweet, and quite sad. Everyone in the theatre left in tears and, in the bathroom, they were comparing the scenes they cried during.

A Walk to Remember helps you to understand who people can really be when they shed the shell of what people expect and gain an understanding of who they truly are.

Mandy and Shane both have a great degree of talent and will likely have long acting careers, and probably receive many awards for future movies. (Let's face it, teen movies don't get Oscars, so don't expect nods for either for this one.)

Mandy DOES sing some in the movie and sounds so beautiful. Her voice and the songs that she sings compliment each other so well.

I've gotten this book and the soundtrack, both of which are awesome! I plan on getting the video as soon as it comes out. I would recommend everyone else do the same!

Summary: This Movie is UnderEstimated by Critics!!!!!!!!
Review: It was the most sweetest movie I've seen in a LONG time! I'd read the book before seeing the movie and loved it, so when the movie came out I was dying to see it. I loved it just as much as the book. Both Shane West and Mandy Moore nailed their lines and made their characters 100% believeable. I cried, laughed, awed, and smiled throughout the movie, it will take you on a rollcoaster ride of emotions. I can't wait to own it when it is out on DVD. I was so wonderful to see a teen movie show that not everyone does drinking, drugs, and sex. If anything it went above and beyond a teen movie. Everyone was cheering, clapping, awing, laughing, and crying all throughout the movie. I recommend it to EVERYONE to watch. It sends a positive message not only to teens but to the adults regarding faith, love, trust by the end. I can't wait to see it again. It is definitely one that you can watch over and over and never get enough it is so sweet.

Summary: Incredibly Romantic and Poignant!
Review: I've watched this movie 3 times already and it now ranks # 1 on my list of favourite romantic movies of all time. There're many factors that make this movie great (e.g. the excellent screenplay and direction) but the foremost has to be the perfect casting (and brilliant acting) of the 2 leads, Mandy Moore (MM) and Shane West which make this film truly unforgetable. Their on-screen chemistry is amazing to watch and they look so truly and earnestly in love (so natural, like no acting was involved, or needed, at all).

MM plays the character of Jamie Sullivan, an 18-year old, sweet-looking daughter of a church minister, who carries a bible to school and dresses "old-fashionedly". However, she has high self-esteem and is not concerned with what others think of her. In her high school yearbook, her interests are listed as "church choir, drama" and her ambition: "to witness a miracle". Jamie is the last girl in school that the handsome, cool and popular Landon Carter (West) expects to fall in love with. But fall in love with her he does, gradually, after circumstances put them together for the rehearsal of the school's spring play and Landon has to seek Jamie's assistance to help him with his lines. Jamie looks Landon confidently in the eyes and agrees to help him, on one condition i.e. that he must promise not to fall in love with her. Landon laughs and says, "That's not a problem". Little does he know what fate (or cupid) has in store for him!

You'll also enjoy listening to MM's clear and beautiful vocals as she sings in the church choir scene and in the spring play. The movie soundtrack is excellent and captures the mood of the movie perfectly with great songs like "It's Gonna Be Love", "Only Hope" (MM), "You" (Switchfoot) and "No One" (Cold).

"A Walk to Remember" successfully portrays what true love is all about and its power to change a person for the better. The storyline is so touching that I cried buckets each time I see this movie. It's a thousand times more romantic and meaningful than "Titanic" or any other romantic movie I can think of. This movie's great, great, great from start to finish (yes, right down to the bitter-sweet ending), so don't miss it.

I think we can expect the 2 actors to be nominated for "Best Kiss", and Shane West for "Most Desirable Male" in this year's MTV Movie Awards!

Trivia: MM was only 17 when she made this movie while Shane West (born: 1978) was 23.

Summary: A very moving film
Review: If you do not have a heart then you will not like this movie.

I went to see it with my wife and my 14-year-old daughter and I found myself, a 44-year-old man watching the film with tears streaming down my face. Simply a superb film.

I found the characters to be different and interesting, not following the similar "pop star in a movie" profile. The Jamie Sullivan character played by Mandy Moore was an expansive, complex character that typically can't be played by such a young person, but she nailed the character perfectly, playing her with such depth and feeling that I don't think it could have been done any better by anyone else.

Shane West also did a wonderful job playing Landon Carter. I though he played this character perfectly. His emotions, his inner struggle with his desire to be with Jamie or to continue to be "cool", his anger, and non-caring attitude. He used all of these emotions to paint this character flawlessly.

Peter Coyote also played the part of Reverend Sullivan, Jamie's father to a T. He perfectly portrayed the Christian father with the inner struggle of seeing his daughter grow up and having to let go, also because of her illness, wanting to protect her.

This movie is a "must see", but bring a box of Tissues.

Summary: A Teen Movie Actually Worth Seeing - Really
Review: In today's world, Hollywood has worked harder and harder to make movies that appeal to the majority. Teen movies especially go with the latest trends, fads, language, and attitudes. They are often based on relationships that are founded on appearance and sexual appeal. That may appeal to the majority, but that is a very sad thing. This movie is a refreshing change, a diamond in the ruff.
In a small town in North Carolina, things are normal. Life is normal. School is normal. Relationships are normal. Well, not always.
Landon Carter (Shane West) appears to have it all. He is handsome, member of the most popular people club at school, has a gorgeous girlfriend, and generally has a carefree life. However, all that stuff is only shallow and has no eternal value. Underneath that cool exterior lies the heart of a young man that is full of pain and emptiness.
One unfortunate evening, Landon's life is turned upside down, as a stupid prank lands him in trouble with law and at school. As punishment, Landon is obligated to do janitorial work, teach special Ed students, and participate in the school drama club's spring play. With all of these burdens added to his load, Landon's real life begins to show through. He splits with his girlfriend. It is discovered that he lives with his divorced mother while his rich father is no more to him than a monthly check in the mail. It appears that all of his friends are only for fair weather. His life is not at all a walk in the park.
Eighteen-year-old Jamie Elizabeth Sullivan (Mandy Moore - the pop singer turned actress) is the beloved daughter of a Baptist minister (Peter Coyote) and lives the totally opposite type of life. She and her father are in a loving relationship. She has a firm faith in God. He does not anger her or disappoint her in that she willing accepts everything He sends into her life. Her morals are strong and uncompromisable. Jamie is on the most unpopular list at school, because of her religious convictions, faith, sweet disposition, and modest behavior and dress. For teens of today, Jamie is a good role model. She doesn't give into peer pressure She, unlike Landon, has dreams and intends to fulfill them. She even has a list of goals. Number one is a secret, but she wants to get a tattoo, be in two places at once, and witness a miracle. Seems like these two people could never have a relationship.
She shows him the important things in life like love, faith, and forgiveness. He, in turn, opens her heart and she allows him to become a very important part of her life. Through hardship and struggles, each refines the other and God brings them together on the same path that becomes A Walk to Remember.
With hit songs by Mandy Moore, Switchfoot, and others, the story is well portrayed through its great acting and lovely cinematography. It is a refreshing change from the normal collection of modern teen movies and definitely has some better lessons to teach than other teen movies.

Warning: This movie was given four stars because of some foul language and for some twisted Biblical ideas.

Summary: A walk to Remember is a touching movie
Review: I went to go see this movie the second day it came out and have now seen it in the theaters two times. A walk to Remember teaches you to live you life to the fullest and that love is never unkind, unjust or choosy. This makes a great date movie, and even the guys might get a little misty eyed!
