Summary: Bridget Jone's secret relation to Indiana Jones
Review: Like most every other guy who has seen this movie I was dragged in by my ear (or should I say my...) by my girlfriend. An like every other guy in the theater I pretended to hate it but between you and me... loved it. Renee Zellweger plays a psychotic sexually frustrated 30ish yuppie looking for Mr. Right. Who turns out to be (she thinks) the also maladjusted womanizing Hugh Grant. Along the way she tackles some of the most hilarious social situations ever presented to an American actress playing a down and out Brit. Hugh Grant is equally hilarious and a role model for all aspiring sociopaths. He breaks the mold (at least in my mind) of the perpetually boring, droll heartthrob that he is typiclly associated with. Guys do yourselves a favor and volunteer to watch this one in return for shall we say...

Summary: Bridget Jones Diary is a wonderfull love story!!!
Review: This is quite the adorable movie!!! I love, love, love it!!! It is fabity, fab, fab!!! Its a *cute*&hilarious Romantic comedy based off off a novel...Which is actually rather based off of "Pride&Prejiduce". But it involves Bridget(Renee Zellweger), an insecure British woman searching for love and trying to get off the bottle, stay at a minimal weight, and survive without making an idiot of herself(ahaha NOT possible!!!). Its quite hilarious, not your average Romantic comedy. Hugh Grant, is a filthy and coniving ... :P and is Bridget's love interest. And Darcy whom Bridget meets not quite for the first time at a Christmas party. They get off to a bad start, but her inevitably falls for Bridgets wit and charm. Its basically just the day in the life of a woman trying to make it through life with love. But in a quite hilarious yet realistic manner. Worth seeing AT LEAST ONCE :D!!!

*Enjoy*

God Bless ~Amy

Summary: Don't compare it to the book.....
Review: Let's face it, we all know the book was much better!! But I thought that the movie was great, too. It certainly was different as was a hard transition to put a fictional character's diary keeping onto the big screen. I think that they did an excellent job bringing Bridget to the screen. I am a diehard fan of the book and the character. I loved this movie!! It was funny, it kept me interested, and had some very cute men along side Renee Zellweger. While I like Renee as an actress, I never would've thought of her as Bridget. SHe does an excellent job! She gained probably 25 pds to play the role. She got the English accent down pat, the only american in my opinion to ever get through an entire filming of a movie without reverting to their own accent (think: kevin costner, price of thieves and meg ryan, i can't remember what movie but she had the WORST irish accent in the history of film) I definetly agree with the customer from Chicago, IL that the movie bridget did seem much more ditzy than the book bridget. But I still laughed out loud alot in the movie just like i did with the book. and I had a wonderful time drooling over Colin Firth who was very charming as Mr. Mark Darcy. Hugh Grant certainly fell out of type and played the bad guy for a nice change. This is one of those movies I'd go see again in the theaters!! Sometimes romantic comedies can get really tedious after a while, and I think Bridget Jones' Diary is a refreshing approach. I'd leave my husband at home again, and bring a sister, or female friend..Maybe some men might like the humor, but it's really a very sweet romantic comedy. I highly recommend this movie, but read the book first if you haven't done so. Also good for you romantic comedy fans !!

Summary: review
Review: i did not like this movie because it was very verbose! the birds in the end of the movie were scary and colorful. however they had nothing to with the plot. the plot itself was weird. i didn't understand why bridget kept her diary in the flower garden. It was better than the first one, though....

Summary: The Guy and I Both Liked It!
Review: Yep, I dragged the husband to a "chick flick" - heaven knows I've sat through enough war movies. Surprisingly, we BOTH liked it. Renee Zellweger was hilarious as the unlucky-in-love heroine with two left feet and really big panties. Hugh Grant was the lovable cad (that's gotta be a natural role for him), and Colin Firth was the handsome, aloof, silent type... didn't he play the same guy in Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice"? Oh well, no matter - he does it well. It was very original, and very entertaining. I'll watch this one again!

Summary: Pretty amusing, with its pros and cons
Review: Pros:

1. The script is really excellent, with a lot of good gags. 2. Most parts are pretty well acted. 3. Hugh Grant does well as a bad guy. 4. The are actually some English good guys in this film!

Cons:

1. Renee Zellwegger's English accent is remarkably bad. 2. The fight sequence seems very out of place. 3. Not at all true to the book. It would have been better to actually have seen her handwriting 'Day 23, 34, 6 Units of Alcohol' or whatever each time a new day started. Would have made it more like a diary. 4. Resolved in a slightly unlikely way.

Summary: Wonderful Movie...A Must SEE!!
Review: I will be short and to the point. I loved this movie. I am a huge fan of Colin Firth, so I may be a bit biased. I think Renee Zellweger was believable as Bridget Jones and It was nice to see Hugh Grant playing the bad guy for a change. Go see it before it leaves the theaters.

Summary: Good Comedy - Recommended
Review: There were a lot of empathetic women in the audience who obviously enjoyed it thoroughly. However some of them were audibly baffled by anglicisms such as "wanker" & "poof."

Renee Zellweger's performance is excellent and her accent, to this ex-patriated Englishman anyway, flawless - if a little too upmarket for the role. Hugh Grant seems happy to hand over his customary tongue-tied female-dominated Brit routine to Colin Firth. The amount of cigarette smoking and foul language in the film seems excessive - until you go to a pub or wine-bar in the UK and realise that film's portrayal is entirely true to form.

Not a 100% chick-flick, more like 65%, but thoroughly good fun nonetheless.
