Summary: so so
Review: This is a really uneven film. The parts that work are wonderful, but the parts that don't are quite bad. I'd never seen a movie this uneven before. After I saw it, I read an interview with Pierce Brosnan (who has a small role), and he said Warren Beatty would come on the set and try to take the directing job away from the director. So, I assume the good parts were when one of the two was directing, and the bad bits were when the other was directing. Whether the good bits were directed by Beatty, or the real director, I don't know!

Summary: Doesn't hold a candle to the original
Review: This is a remake of An Affair to Remember with Cary Grant and Deborah and it does not work. Some movies just should not be remade. The ONLY thing good about this movie is Katharine Hepburn's appearance. Get the original!

Summary: Beautiful updated re-make of "An Affair to Remember"
Review: This is absolutely the best movie ever made. This is one movie I will never get tired of watching with the beautiful and talented Annette Bening and handsome and talented Warren Beatty. Sigh, what more could you want! Claire Eddo

Summary: the absolute love story.
Review: This is the ultimate story of true love and fate. Have a box of tissues handy.

Summary: Love-A-Fair
Review: This movie brings tears to my eyes each time I watch it. The romance and passion that both characters display is astonishing. Not to mention, they(Warren Beatty & Annette Bening) are husband and wife in real life. I love it and highly recommend this movie to all! What a love affair...

Summary: An Affair to Remember
Review: This movie has been terribly underrated! I saw it when it first came out and, due to my prejudice towards the 1957 Cary Grant/Deborah Kerr film, I couldn't see just how good it really is. I recently saw it again and absolutely love it now! Beatty is charming and Annette Bening, as in "The American President", glows toward the camera. She is simply one of the best actresses and the greatest stars around, in my opinion. Katharine Hepburn is perfect as Beatty's aunt. Give this movie another chance -- if you love romantic movies, you'll love this "Love Affair".

Summary: A Disappointment
Review: This movie just never took off. I never could get into the "love affair." The music got on my nerves. Was that supposed to be 1920s, or 1930s style music? Whatever era, it didn't fit what was supposed to be a more modern treatment of the original. I thought Beatty and Bening were great in "Bugsy." But getting married must have hurt their on-screen chemistry.

Summary: A beautiful story, beautiful music and beautiful memory
Review: This movie let me know what is real love.
I've never believe that falling in love at first glance.
But this movie changed my thought.
It would remind your dim love. Even if you haven't love before, you would feel that you're falling in love with someone at least, during your watching.

This movie can be happy or sad.
Why don't you see this one and feel right now?

Summary: Unnecessary Remake
Review: This movie was an unneeded remake of "An Affair to Remember" and "Love Affair" (1939). I thought it was nice how they used the same script for much of it, but how believeable is landing on a desert island and going on a Russian cruise ship? And the scenes, especially the last one, that has the same exact dialogue as "An Affair to Remember" falls very flat as these actors deliver their lines. Deborah Kerr and Cary Grant are highly superior to Beatty and Benning. It's cute, but was it really needed?
