Rating: Summary: about the movie sex and Lucia...... Review: This story, in short, is about Lucia's relationship with the writer of a book which in the end she went back to her writer boyfriend. There are three erotic scenes in this movie, one is in water(where she fell down a hole, the other scene is she lie on the bed and masturbate and the last one is sex encounter with her first met bookwriter boyfriend when she was drunk. This is also one of the collector's item.N/B:Movies resatricted with RCE will not pose a problem to Singaporoe as Singapore manufacture multiregion, RCE compliant DVD player. Amazon in Singapore(should they open one like the U.S) will be selling these video/DVD players as one of the products in the store. Those who buy DVD players which can't view any sex movies(RCE) are so called bad only.
Rating: Summary: skin, yes...mezmorizing plot...unfortunately no. Review: This is a sexy movie...no doubt about it...the problem is that it wanted so badly to be hot that the narrative gets lost somewhere inside...plus there was way too much gratuitous "blue filter"...this is a movie to rent, not own.
Rating: Summary: it's worth watching....but don't expect too much "SEX" Review: I thought a miracle was about to happen. After years of drought from mainstream production studios in Hollywood and Europe, I thought this film had a chance to bring erotic cinema back to the screen! It has some tame sex scenes in it...the story was very good and interesting, however, it lacks that 1970's "edge" to it, that ultimately left me disappointed. The actresses are attractive, the filmaking was intelligent and "artsy-fartsy". But the studios of today just won't allow directors the freedom to "take it to the next level" sexually, as they used to in the 1970's. What do "freaky" people like us do now, when pornography is shot on digital video tape devoid of storylines and mainstream cinema has become so tame? What the world really needs is a modern day remake of 1976's "The Image" starring Molly Sims as the "willing sex slave girl", with Demi Moore and Bruce Willis as her tormentors. Shoot that film, rate it NC-17 or NR and they'd make a fortune! Until then, this film here is a decent example of "tame" 1990's style erotica.
Rating: Summary: This Should Have Gotten The Attention That Y Tu Mama Got Review: This is such a good film. Just amazing. Somewhat shocking, very graphic, very sexual, very adult, and yet never to extreme. The sex is not there to just be sex. Its there to create relationships between characters, and show the various stages of love, sex, and relationships. A truelly great film, and just plain beautiful.
Rating: Summary: This movie is MUY BUEN! Review: I have given this movie to a number of my grrrlfriends to watch with their guys, and also a copy of "New Sex Now." Truly a recipe for one HOT night -- no, many hot nights.
Rating: Summary: Tender, profound and beautiful Review: Spain produces, from time to time, real masterpieces. Sex and Lucia (the title could be a better one)blends an astonishing puzzle of love, flesh, scenery, drama, real live, tenderness, music, departure and re-encounter which will glue you to the screen from the beginning to the end. Should the movie be American, Lucia (Paz Vega) would have been awarded (or would deserve) an Oscar. A beautiful actress, an amazing interpretation...Lorenzo completes the sweet drama through a remarkable performance and, together with Lucia, brings you so close to real life that I remained impressed by the film for days. A collector's jewel. No doubt about it. A Must see! By the way: sex hype has nothing to do with it. Love was so tender that became embedded in the story. Just beautiful!
Rating: Summary: A masterful film Review: This film is absolutely great. In fact, I might even say it's amazing. It weaves in different people, with different stories, from different worlds, so effortlessly. The cinematography is absolutely gorgeous. The script is perfect. And the sex, well, there's quite a lot of sex in this movie, but it's sex that's a lot more close-to life then what you see in all those glamorous hollywood flicks.Plus, you could take or leave the sex, and you still have the same beautiful story. All the actors give a lot of effort, and every performance is good, earthy, with no overacting, particualry from the supporting roles, however, this is one of those films where the story is the star. This is a movie that takes a while to understand, and it's a complex film that challenges your mind, but if you really want to take the time to see a great piece of work, see Sex and Lucia. It's one of the most original, stirring, and touching films that I've seen in quite a while.
Rating: Summary: Tangled threads that come together...and Lucia Review: After her boyfriend Lorenzo dies in a car accident, Lucia leaves Madrid and goes on her own, swearing off people. As the movie unfolds, the scenes cut back to Lucia in the present, where she is on an island Lorenzo frequented in the past and becoming a guest of Elena, and reflecting back on how she first met Lorenzo, a novelist. Lucia is very impulsive and passionate, as she outright tells her feelings to Lorenzo at a restaurant, becoming his girlfriend. However, we also see how Lorenzo encountered Elena in a midnight swim on an island on his birthday. He eventually abandoned her after she became pregnant and bore him a daughter. Through his publisher colleague Pepe, Lorenzo learns of his ex-wife through seeing her babysitter, Belen. The conversations and actions in his novel begin to mirror talks and encounters with Belen and his daughter. The island and the imagined wishes of his daughter to find out who her father is plays out in the novel, as does the affair he had with Elena. One particular incident though, turns the tide for Lorenzo, causing his deterioration, through which Lucia tries patiently to understand. The full frontal scenes mostly involve Lucia but there is some male scenes as well, which aren't excessive, and there is a particularly sexy striptease which makes things hot, but nothing compares to their initial bedroom romps. Paz Vega (Lucia) resembles Winona Ryder with a dolled up version of Ana Torrent thrown in the mix. Tristan Ulloa (Lorenzo) resembles Gary Oldman. If Elena and that low melodic voice, unique nose, and pointed chin look familiar, that's Najwa Nimri, best known to American audiences (I hope) for playing Nuria in Abre Los Ojos. She tackles a different and more emotionally-wrecking role here. An interesting enough tangle of threads, helped by the principals and the hot scenes.
Rating: Summary: So much more than sex Review: If you're thinking that this is one of those films which puts in a bunch of sex for shock value, or just to get you to see the movie, well you're wrong. Very wrong. Or if you're thinking that these are your typical, glossy, hollywood sex scenes, you're also wrong. The sex in this film is what I can imagine sex is in real life. Very natural, and low key, just another part of life. The actors did a wonderful job, the scenery was absolutely breathtaking, the music was beautiful beyond words, and the plot and the way the film was set out was strikingly original. This is the kind of film that may require a couple viewings to truly understand, and this isn't backround noise, to really GET this movie you have to sit down and watch every second of it. But once you do, you'll apprecciate it for it's undeniable originality. This film is touching, sad, and pure and joyful, just as life itself is. This is a beautiful cinematic experience, and one of the most unique and artful films I've ever seen. Also, in Europe, the sexual content of this film is no big deal, it's just that, well, what can you expect from us Americans, if we find Eminem and the dirrty video controversial. This is poetry set to film, if you can understand that.MINDBLOWING.
Rating: Summary: average film Review: so-so, not special film. y tu mama tambien is better.
