Summary: Impressing,incredible, one of the best movies ever!
Review: This amazing film exposes the true frienship between two girls.I found it very sweet, although the end was horrible. The murder would not have happened if Pauline's mother would take her time to understand her daughter. She signed her death certificate by herself. I am not saying it is normal to kill a mother, or any person at all--- the girls have no excuse from the point of the common sense. However, they have been going through the difficult times; it often happens wiht teenagers that they concentrate only on one person and have an intense friendship.Juliet's mother waqs more understanding in this way.this movie made me think for days.. the performance of Kate Winslet was outstanding, and Melanie Linskey did a good job also. Both actresses were right for this movie. Needless to say, this movie is my favorite!

Review: Heavenly Creatures ranks right up there as one of the most disturbing movies I've seen. What makes it so, is that it is a true story. It was good, yet at times, very difficult to watch. Winslet is wonderful as usual. I recommend this movie to mature viewers. Parents need to use discretion when letting their younger children watch this film. Overall the movie was amazingly directed, written, and acted...very true to the real life tragedy.

Review: HC shares life and fantasy and delusion and confusion. A friendship that takes all in its path to the extreme. Fabulous performances from two incredibly talented young actors. Absolutely one of Kate's best. And as the other reviewers, it is agreed that this is a movie to buy. You will find yourself picking up something new each time you watch HC.

Review: This is one of the strangest movies I have ever seen. The movie doesn't start off as a tragedy, rather as a comedy or light drama. I wasn't prepared for the horrible ending. And what made it worse was the fact that it was true. The girls in this movie were clearly disturbed.

Review: This is among one of the finest films i have ever seen but cant describe. THe film manages to caputre the realism of being a young teenagers, with al their insceruties. The films realism, combined with brillant preformances froms it two leads and the combination of reality and fatasay makes this an incrediable films to watch. It is also unsettling in the love story it creats between the two girls and what is even more brillant is the films non explotive handling of diffcult subject matter make the film all that better. Review: Mesmerizing...the fantasy sequences were magical, and the acting was intense. Kate Winslet and Melanie Lynskey were riveting and sympathetic. A terrific film about a horrifying event.

Review: Never, ever have I seen a film as unique as this. I bought the video on a hunch. My knowledge of the history surounding it coupled with my attraction to movies detailing the awakening into young womanhood only enriched the experience. This is a vital piece in my video collection and I sincerely hope we American audiences will soon have access to the anticipated New Zealand version, the way the director intended!

Review: Ok, maybe not, but that's what I think. I've seen Heavenly Creatures probably more than 40 times, enjoying each and every one of them. This film is flawless. The acting is just superb: Melanie Kinskey's portrait of Pauline deserves to be up there with the best portrayals to be capture in film ever. The camera never stops moving, therefore outlining the intensity of the girls' relationship. I could go on and on... This is a must GET for everyone.
