Rating: Summary: Breathtaking Review: I love Angelina Jolie. She is an amazing actress with an unimaginable range. She can make you believe she is the person she's playing. She steals the show. This movie...is what really set her career off. This movie is not for the faint of heart. It is only for the open-minded. I'm 16, and I love this movie. I can't explain how breathtaking it is. It really impacted me in a huge way...Angelina makes you laugh...cry...It was amazing. To say the least. After watching this movie, I hold the highest respect for Angelina Jolie. :o)
Rating: Summary: powerful performance Review: After I watch the film I had a tremendous buzz. Angelina's portrail of Gia was so powerful, so dramatic, she left me speechless. I can't even put it into words now...it was outstanding, an amazingly heart warming performance by Jolie, with a endearing performance by co-star Elizabeth Mitchell. I definately recommend it!
Rating: Summary: Angelina shines, but something is lacking... Review: ...and that something has a name: Rocco. What I would have liked to see, about three-quarters of the way through this film, is some sort of contribution from the well-known actor and director Rocco Siffredi, similar to what he did for Catherine Breillat's <Romance>. It would have been a real challenge to Angelina as an actor to completly shift modes, to recast the part in a more challenging way. Certainly worth a look regardless.
Rating: Summary: Don't Miss This Movie!!!!!!!!!! Review: There is nothing to say beside this is such a good movie..!!!!! If you didn't see this movie, then there is something missing in your life..!!! The movie is very very well done!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT MISS THIS MOVIE!!
Rating: Summary: Ms. Jolie IS Gia Review: Angelina Jolie gives a very, very good performance as Gia, the supermodel who lived fast and died young. The supporting actors, especially Merdedes Ruel are also great. The film is just altogether well done, with a great script, wonderful cinemaphotography, and a good directer. Its a shame hollywood films can't look this good. Even if you know nothing about Gia, watch this movie. By the end of it you'll wish you knew more about her.
Rating: Summary: Her Best Performance Review: It is without a doubt one of Angelina Jolie's best work and best performance. The academy award winning actress should have won an Oscar with "Gia", if only the film wasn't made for cable. An actress of the 20th Century, Angelina Jolie isn't just eye-candy, the girl can really act. Unlike other actresses, she has the unique qualities of talent and charisma. The film is also seriously under-rated for it's directing and scripting. With every camera angle and dialogue, director Michael Cristofer made Gia come to life. From the first love scene between Gia and Linda to the morning after, the drug problem to the interview to relaunch her career and the heart wrenching choice that Gia made, choosing drugs over love is painstakingly written and choreographed. If you love the film, make sure you read the book by Stephen Fried "A Thing of Beauty: The Tragedy of Supermodel Gia", it will leave you crying.
Rating: Summary: Oops She Did It Again Review: Movie after Movie Ms Jolie gives another top performance.I was absolutely shocked by how much I love this movie.I guees I am gonna have to let this entertain me until Lara Croft comes out in the summer
Rating: Summary: Tragic life story of a girl in pain Review: The story about the life of a supermodel who used drugs to dull the pain of the emptiness and hurt in her life; a stunning performance by Angelina Jolie captures the essence of what made Gia--Gia. Opens your eyes to how one wrong decision can destroy your life so emphatically. Heartbreaking and deeply emotional in every aspect, from Gia examining her bisexuality to her struggle to cope with her drug abuse and the onset of AIDs that eventually destroyed her short, deeply tragic life at age 26.
