Summary: Touching Story, but.....
Review: The story of the two brothers, that's nice and touching. And Dustin Hoffman, what can you say? He is a brilliant actor. His performance deserved the Oscar. But I lost interest in this movie right around where they stop at the house to watch the game show or whatever TV program it was. It couldn't keep my interest or attention to the end.

Summary: Everything..Perfect
Review: Everything is perfect about this film. I could say anything about this film and it would be perfect. The performances, direction, dialogue, cinematography, atmosphere, pace, comedy, drama, emotion ..everything is perfect. Dustin Hoffman- one of the best talents of our generation- delivers his ultimate performance as a mentally different but not handicapped person with a secret. Hoffman's awe-inspiring performance makes Peter Sellers (Being There) and Tom Hanks (Forrest Gump) look like high school drama students. The one thing which makes this film from being over-melodramatic is the surprisingly funny comedy in it. Although somewhat cruel to laugh at a mentally 'different' person, the "K-Mart" sequence and the "Pancake" sequence are meant to draw comic relief by Barry Levinson. Tom Cruise is again overshadowed by an older actor (A Few Good Men, The Color of Money) but holds his own in a different way. If Cruise's exact performance was in another film, he could have got an Oscar Nomination.

Summary: One of the best films of all time
Review: Rain Man is a great, emotionally moving experience which everyone should see. I fell in love with this movie the first time I saw it and it still continues to move me everytime that I watch it. The performances by Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman will live forever in the hearts of those who have ever loved somebody so dearly as a brother. Parents, please show this film to your children as many times as they want to see it.

Summary: Very good!
Review: The beginning of this movie starts with the young & selfish yuppie Tom Cruise. And at the end of the film,Tom Cruise changes into a real humanitic person. There's a real difference with the first Tom Cruise we have seen.Barry Levinson is a real good film maker(Although some of his films like the 'Sleepers' or the 'Sphere' was dissapointing).Everything, especially the directing and the acting was real great. When Dustin Hoffman was acting the savant brother of Tom Cruise,I couldn't close my mouth.I was so supprised.'How can a real person can act like that?'.I couldn't erase my thoughts about that acting.Anyways, this is a real must see flick. If you haven't seen this, whenever it is,YOU MUST SEE THIS FLICK!

Summary: A deserving oscar winner
Review: Rain man is easily one of my favourite films and the acting of Hoffman is truely remarkable. Equally so is the actual screenplay.
