Summary: Fathers and Sons
Review: This movie is a philosophical wonder on the relationships between fathers and sons. First off, you have a real life father and son portraying the two main characters. And you have the two characters (a father and a son) who are looking to fulfill their losses in eachother (Bean having lost his father and the Sergent having lost his son's love). Then, of course, you have the windmill. What healthy father/son relationship doesn't involve "projects"?

Unfortunately we see the older Sheen disintegrate. He goes completely insane. While the younger Sheen serves his time, learns many lessons about dealing with the human race, and moves on to a brighter future.

Summary: Army Prisoners
Review: This movie is about a Army Prison unit with all black prisoners until Private Bean is arrested for being drunken disorderly..The Head Officer who is in charge is trying to give Bean special treatment but he won't except favors from the Sargeant just because he's the only white prisoner..Theres a lot of racial tention at first between the prisoners..But after a while it seems that Private Bean is more like the black officers than anyone thought..

Summary: Unity can cross barrier lines of race
Review: This movie proves that unity can exist between men of all races. In this story, it is not done without great loss of one of their own. Each man tyring to find their worth is nothing more than the dreams each carry inside them. Putting aside their individualism, they join efforts which lead to personal victory shared by all. Charlie Sheen gives a masterful performance as Prvt. Bean. To me "SweetBread" played by Harry Stewart, will always stand-out as the most inspiring person in the movie. His majestic voice and piano playing bring joy of redemption to my soul. His original song "End of My Journey" is sung with all his heart and soul. Sadly to say, this movie does not have a sound-track allowing viewers to expierence songs such as "Chain-Gang" and "End of My Journey". If anyone is able to locate recordings made by Harry Stewart, please share with the rests of us.

Summary: Music stole the show
Review: Very Good movie! Without the music however, it would just be average. I loved the songs by Harry Stewart. Sadly tough, I do not believe a soundtrack is available. If anyone has any info on how I can find the song "The End Of My Journey" by Harry Stewart please let me know. Info on any of his recordings would be welcome.

Summary: Underrated
Review: When I think of movies dealing with the Vietnam Era this is usually the last to come to mind, and most people probably don't even recall it. While this movie doesn't deal so much with the trials men went through in Vietnam it tells a very interesting story about racism and friendship. I didn't really care for the subplot involving Charlie and Martin Sheen and think this movie would have been more highly regarded had it avoided it altogether. However, I would still recommend this film to just about anyone.

Summary: Oooohh Aaaahhhhh!
Review: You'll have a tough time getting that one out of your head. Charlie Sheen's best work next to Wall Street as a renegade Army private stuck in a German stockade during the Vietnam War. A flash of early brilliance by Laurence Fishburne with a great, but twisted dynamic between Charlie and Martin Sheen. What can you say, this movie is just terrific! 4 tats
