Review: I thought Leonardo DiCaprio was a great Tobias Wolff. It was one of my favorite movies, and I loved it. So I recomended to my family. Most of my family saw it, and they thought it was good. They thought Leo was excellent, and Robert DeNiro was great too. Also, I would like to point out that Tracey S. is the biggest Leo fan in the world. The director was excellent when he picked Leonardo DiCaprio as Tobias Wolff. Perfect Job.

Review: I've seen it about 5 times and I it's still funny when Robert DeNiro beats down on Leonardo DiCaprio, about three times during the movie. The first fifteen minutes are slow but then Robert DeNiro (Dwight) steals the show.

Summary: Inspirational on how to overcome an obstacle
Review: In my English we read Ellen Foster and then watched This Boy's Life. The two pieces fit togehter well. In This Boy's Life we watch as the young Tobias grows into a street smart kid. He takes the abuse from Dwight and uses it to defend himself from Dwight. This movie was very inspirational. I found myself wanting to help Tobias and his mother. I also found myself hoping that Tobias would get everything he wanted.

Summary: Excellent, painful and real, Acting was marvelous
Review: This movie so touched my heart, the abuse that this young man took so as not to rock any boats, especially for his mother. I lived thru such experiences with my mother and brother, my brother was always taking abuse by such selfish and inhuman men or stepfathers. I am purchasing this movie to share with my brother. The acting by everyone, Dinero, and Leonardo were captivating. I sobbed for an hour, it was so real.

Review: I liked this movie because just like the rest of his movies (excluding Titanic) it was real. The movies Leonardo made before William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet were what should have put him in the mainstream. Not that everything he has made from R&J and on isn't good, because it is. I'm just saying all the attention he gets now except for maybe a small handful of people are only there to make him a teen idol. That's O.K. for pre-pubescent arrogant boys but for older men that is not the number one priority on their list, especially not Leonardo's. He makes movies for himself, as he should. He doesn't go out and say, " I should do this movie because maybe all the girls will see it." or "I shouldn't do this one because what will the fans think?" I just think all these girls who swear they love him just cut the bullsh--, because eventhough it is your job as the audience to respond to the actors work, you all should have been there from the beginning. And like the girl who commeted that it should have been a 0 (zero) the rest of you need to appreciate his independent work if not more than his big budget mainstream films because that is where he began and that's what everyone else looks at to determine if they want him to work on their project. Not at how popular he is with the teens or how much Titanic grossed. Please take my words into consideration and thank you for taking the time out of your "surfing" to read my comments. Summary: The Great This Boys Life
Review: This was my faviorte DiCaprio movie. I am not a big fan of his but he was great in This Boys Life. DeNiro who plays Dwight absolutely makes this movie. Although it is a serious movie you really cant help but laugh at Dwights character. This movie def. deserves five out of five stars. This is one of my friend Jay and my faviorte movies. Also Amazon.com ships it quick so you can have it EXTRA fast! Theydo a great job.

Review: I thought I had just about seen every movie there ever has been, but I caught this one last evening on a "regular" channel, and, it knocked my sox off!!! I love Leo, and Ellen Barkin is an actress, in my mind , who is very underestimated, and De Niro is De Niro!! I gotta have this flick for my collection!!! This is a neat site!!!

Summary: This movie is very moving and disturbing
Review: I saw this movie about two years ago, before Titanic and before i saw R&J. I was emotionally touched by the way "Dwight" abused "Tobias" and how "Tobias" managed to free himself from his horrible nightmare. I didnt realize until the end of the movie that this had really taken place. My mom and I just broke down in tears. It was a very emotionally disturbing movie with excellent performances from Ellen Barkin, Robert DeNiro, and young Leonardo DiCaprio. It was this movie that started my obssession with Mr. DiCaprio!
