Review: I saw the movie and i was already a fan but the more i watched it the more of a fan i became of Selena. She had this love for her fan and her family that it never ended. She is que queen of tejano music and always will be! I recomend this video, if you want to know Selena as a person more than as an artist this is the movie you should watch. Her love never changed, when she was on stage: she was the artist, but even on her own free time she still loved the fans and gave them her time! This is my favorite movie! You should watch it! =0)

Review: I had heard of Selena prior to seeing this movie, but didn't know much about her. After seeing this movie, I can now say I am a big fan. This movie is one of the best biography movies I have seen. Jennifer Lopez excels in her potrayal of Selena. I was moved by Selena's love of her family, and her devotion to her fans. Her passion for music is an inspiration in itself. This is a must buy for all Selena Fans!

Review: We saw this video in Spanish class and I have to say, I do not regret it one bit. It takes a lot to make me cry, but when I saw the ending to this movie, I bursted. It's sad, romantic, and basically, great. I definitely recommend. Jennifer Lopez did a great job starring in Selena. In this movie, you can definitely feel Selena and what she went through. I could go on forever, so just one piece of advice. BUY IT!

Review: First off, I would just like to say that the movie was a box-office success, I have no Idea were people get the idea that it wasnt! Well, now that that is out of the way, "Selena" was an incredible piece of work! From the very beginning where her last Houston concert was re-created I could tell that Jennifer Lopez did the best, she acts so much like the real Selena, it really amazed me! The films major pluses are the fact that her killer is not in it that much, becuase the film has to do with her life, and not about a killer that everyone would rather forget existed. Secondly, the fact that the movie did not go into what happened after Selena died, when a movie comes out about the life of a legend, it should stick to her life and not to what happened after she died. The DVD version is great aside from the GREAT AUDIO and PICTURE , "Selena" comes in both Pan and Scan and Widescreen formats which is great for me cuase I really like alternating. And the Menus make it more enjoyable and interesting. "Selena" was a remarkable film! Although I do think that the fans that knew her in life will relate to it more, It will touch everyones hearts if they see it for what it really is: A loving and humble tribute to Selena and her fans.(See the ending to see what Im talking about)

Review: A good story was filmed very poorly, lighting of some scenes were terrible. Audio was not any better, some of the discussions were not audible, songs seems started in the middle ended before the end. AC3 5.1 at times was satisfactory but one could not make out the lyrics. I am sorry that I purchased this DVD.

Review: I was so moved by this movie it could not get out of my mind for 48 hours. Of course I bought a CD of Selena the day after. I remember the first time I heard the death of Selena in the news, though I didn't know her songs, seeing pictures of her gave me a stirr and I felt sympathetic for the family. This feeling was confirmed later when I saw a T.V report about Selena. So when Selena, the Movie was first showed on TV, I was stuck to my screen. I was just like hypnotized, believing I was watching the REAL Selena, because I didn't recognized Jennifer Lopez at that time. Five years after her assassination, this confusing personification strengthens the sorrow of Selena's death.

Review: I am a huge fan of SELENA But, speaking about the movie I will prefer to see one of her concert in video better , because that way I wont have to think about all of the problems that she went though shown in the movie, of which I have some doubt about it. I think that the movie wasn't a big sucess because most of us her fans felt a little be bad when we saw sombody else as SELENA , we will never forget about her ,we don't need a movie to make us remember who she was , what we need is one of her concerts on video at least this way we get to see her , the real SELENA happy , smiling and working with the people she loved the most. That is why I love the video SELENA ALL MY HITS because I get to see her happy and smiling all the time.
