Review: I think the movie Selena was an excellent movie. It showed people that Selena was a kind and generous person who had her life taken away from her very suddenly. It also tells people that they need to watch there backs. They can't trust everybody and some people are just too nice to realize that.

Review: Jennifer Lopez effectively conveys the life of Selena, the Tejano singer gunned down as she reached the stardom she had strived for her entire life. The film runs rather quickly through her fathers attempt at stardom, and the families struggles, and the next thing you know Jennifer Lopez is taking her jacket off to revel a white bustier that her father falls over about! This movie focuses wisely on her musical achievements, her stuggle with her often possessive-well-meaning father and falling in love with her guitarist, Chris Perez (played WONDERFULLY by Jon Seda). Sadly, as she reaches out for the fame and happiness due her, she is shot by her fan club president which I felt was wisely down-played. This movie focused on her life, not her death. A good movie for all members of the family and any Selena Fan!

Review: The movie Selena on DVD is better than VHS. The video and sound quality are fantastic! The movie has great music...talented actors... and many very interesting points. "the hardest part is letting go"..... "you can do anything you want".... no nude scenes and no bad language..hard to find movies these days that the whole family can watch. The movie has sadness,happiness,anger,success and laughter. A classic movie that people will enjoy seeing again and again. We will remember Selena forever!

Review: As I watched Selena in a dark and empty movie theatre, I cried. I cried throughout the entire film. BUT, the majority of the movie was not sad. So why was I crying? Because as I watched the movie, and fell in love with Selena ( I had not heard about her until after her death), it became harder and harder to know what the outcome of the movie would be. It hurts me to think that such a beautiful and innocent person like Selena could be alive right now, enjoying a singing career, having a life with Chris and possibly children. It hurts that one woman, just ONE woman, ended a life that could have been so much. The thought of the movie still mesmorizes me. Whenever I drive past a DAYS INN motel, I literally get goosbumps all over. I think about Selena everyday. This wonderful movie helped me to appreciate my latino roots and to really just enjoy being alive. I recommend that anyone who has not seen this movie go see it now. You have my word that you will love it. It will touch you, in every way that a person can be touched. May God bless you, and our reigning Tejano queen, on this Christmas day.

Review: Selena was the best movie I have ever seen. I had never heard of her until I saw this movie at my friend's house about a year ago. It made me such a fan of her and it effected me so much that I wrote their fan club with a million questions about her and the movie. I thought jennifer lopaz did a really good job playing Selena. She looks almost exactly like I see in the pictures on her CDs! That movie is THE BEST!!!!!! If you haven't seen it already, SEE IT NNNNOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
